Northern Ophthalmic Associates: North East Philadelphia's Online Review Report Card

Don't go here if you need a prescription. The office staff is terrible. My insurance requires a prior authorization for eye drops for a painful eye condition, and no one is responding after weeks of calls and requests. The doctor is good, but the staff is terrible. Save yourself the aggravation.

Been coming here for years. Really love this place. The staff and Dr. Durski are wonderful and very helpful. Clean and quiet atmosphere. Only downside is the parking lot. Highly recommend this place.

Great place. The Dr.’s assistance/nurse (I’m not sure that’s their title -officially) sorry for the generalization. I go to Dr. Frank and he is super! Patience in almost every way, talked with me about my eyes anatomy and health as I needed to get another lasik round done. Didn’t rush me out the door. His team helped complete all the paperwork my lasik center needed to confirm my eye health and such. The are short stafffed at times however, they always are looking to do their job at a high level. I happy to have gone here and continue to. Thx to everyone there!

The staff in suite 313 were rude. So much so I didn’t even want to ask any questions in regards to the other services they provide. Office is clean and well kept so that’s the only positive I have for them.

I went in to pick out glasses & was told that an appointment was not needed. I was the first person there to pick out glasses. As I was going through the process, Deborah, decided that another customer was more important. And she overlooked the work she started me & started with another customer. I will never return to this company for anything. Also, I am filing a complaint with Medicare.

The doctor that does contacts lens, is only there 1 day out the week so it really limits you. And they dont have contact lens samples at there office which is a waste of time for the patient because I have now have to keep coming back 1 at a time to get fitted for different lens, once a week.

Do NOT be fooled by the good reviews, most of which give the same fake praise and were posted from accounts that have few if any other reviews, which suggests that all of the positive reviews are completely phony (possibly posted by the owners?). I was here last year. This office is exactly what you would find in any third world country. It has ancient, worn out, outdated, sparse equipment. The entire staff has a thick, foreign accent and barely speaks English. The therapies themselves seem primitive. Unlike other ophthalmology offices that I have visited, this one allows non-doctors to perform sensitive procedures on your eyes. You should not let anyone poke at your eyes unless he or she is an actual medical doctor certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. There are several better choices in the area. You have been warned.

My experience has been very wonderful at northern ophthalmic the spectators are great (very informative) friendly, and professionalalso the docs have;

Everyone in the office were professional, friendly and patient. I was seen at the time of my appointment. I didn't have to wait. The first desk receptionist was wonderful and greeted you the minute you walked up to the window. The doctor explained everything in a way I could easily understand him. Overall it was a great experience.

My experience has been nothing but excellent! I received lasik in July and am loving it! From the first appointment to the post ops, everyone has been friendly and professional. They walked me through every step of the way, made me feel at ease on surgery day (very important!) and answered every question I had. I highly, highly recommend them and am so glad a family member encouraged me to contact them for my surgery!
