Being treated for Igg2 deficiency. Seen once in 10 months with no request from him for follow-up visit. Had health problems with infusions and they were dealt with over the phone. But when called to complain about mix- up with prescription filing and timing was told by him that he would not have a problem if I wanted to find another physician. Ill and upset and this is the compassion and care I received. Felt as if I was just a number in his file that was not that important to him. I had always been kind and patient but as soon as I showed frustration, he clearly just preferred I find someone else. I do not trust a doctor who acts this way. Sadly, will have to start over with another physician as I deserve to be treated better than this.
Although I acquired MRSA in his hospital, I can't fault him. He spent an abundant amount of time with me on each visit - not once did he ever stop an appointment before completely answering my questions. He thoroughly explained his decision-making and the effects of the course of treatment. He does prescribe a lot of medicine, but when you are suffering it is probably the best option available at that time. He also worked with me to quickly come off of the habit-forming meds, with as little pain as possible. I wish I didn't have to be on the nasty antibiotics for so long, but that was no fault of his. He made his personal cell available to me at all times. He called my surgeon, while I was in his office to discuss my course of treatment with him. Any time I left a voicemail at his office, I received a very prompt response.
Dr. Axelrod is THE BEST! He takes a genuine interest in each patient, and either takes really good notes or actually remembers your conversation a month later. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure his patients receive the care they need. He helped me by phone once, before he even saw me in person. His actions turned my world right side up, on a day when I was feeling horrible and other offices were unwilling to help. I really can't say enough to justify how great he is with patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
