Rita Borromeo's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Borromeo has been nothing but nice and informative to my soon to be wife. We have been very pleased with the staff and the practice. We do not care about wait times Knorr peoples attitudes when it comes to our medical care. We just care about intelligent doctors and nurses Who can act smartly calmly and swiftly in Unexpected urgent situations when seconds count . Screw bedside manner I’d rather have somebody be rude to me and know what they’re doing then someone be nice to me and not have a clue. This practice is Top notch and so is the hospital.

I went to Dr. Borromeo because she was listed as one of the best board certified gynecologists in the Greater Philly area. She rushed through my appointment and didnt listen to my comments just tried to push medicine that I wasnt interested in trying and gave me no other options. My test results were uploaded on a holiday weekend and no follow up from the doctor even the next week. I sent several messages through MyPennMed system and calling the office and STILL no response. Due to my insurance I am unable to go elsewhere for a second opinion. She is NOT a good DOCTOR if you can even call her one and would NOT recommend as a single woman let alone a pregnant woman.

Like one patient wrote I had an argument with her about adding additional testing with my mammogram. She literally wrote on my script if medically necessary. The woman at the breast imaging department said she cant do that. I had to threaten herBorromeo and any nurse working with her with a lawsuit. She must of consulted with another doctorsupervisor or a nurse told on her denying me testing. I finally got my additional testing after 2 months of fighting with her. Beware she kept asking me 4 times if I was sure I didnt want a pap smear. I told her I was only their for mammogram script and that Im cleared on the pap. Then she wanted me to give her a verbal agreement that I will come back next year for a pap smear. Geesh I heard of being dedicated to the job but this was just plain creepy.

If she tells you that you dont need additional testing with your mammogram on you dense or extremely dense breast please run. Its doctors like her is the reason why women with dense breast die from cancer because they are denied additional testing when asked.

she was a wonderful doctor to me she seemed to honestly care and take my concerns seriously i had previously lost a child at 39weeks not at penn but Dr Borromeo made things seem and feel ok with my second pregnancy tho i still had anxiety i didnt feel that same discomfort i got with other doctors in general

Dr Borromeo is an excellent doctor but just as importantly she is a kind and respectful person. I look forward every year to my annual exam.
