List of Schweiger Dermatology Group - Market Street's Reviews
everyone is attentive and professional. Dr. Farber makes me feel very comfortable. the office reception is accommodating
I've been a patient at Schweiger Dermatology for several years, first at the Pine Street location and now at the Market Street office, because it's closer to our home. I originally chose them because they accepted my insurance, and the process has always been straightforward and easy to navigate. My experience has been consistently excellent, largely due to Dr. Michele Farber. My visits have always been for annual skin checks, which makes it especially important to have a practice I trust and can return to year after year. Dr. Farber is a fantastic dermatologist, thorough, approachable, and highly knowledgeable. Appointments are efficient but never rushed, and I always leave feeling confident that everything has been carefully reviewed. Dermatology can be deceptive; visits may feel routine or quick, but the stakes are high, especially when it comes to skin cancer. That's what makes the quality of care here stand out. There is a real sense of diligence and attention to detail in every visit. The support staff is welcoming and professional, and the overall experience is seamless. First appointments are relatively easy to get, scheduling is simple, and their systems and communication platform make managing appointments and billing quite easy. The offices are also modern, extremely clean, and well run. Over the years, I've had a few minor issues related to sun exposure, all of which were handled quickly and appropriately. I also really appreciate the product recommendations. Skincare is crowded with well-branded, expensive products that are not always effective, and Dr. Farber's guidance has helped me choose products that actually work and protect my skin from the sun. Schweiger has also built a strong platform with multiple locations and providers, creating continuity and flexibility that is hard to find elsewhere. They also seem to offer a wide range of medical and cosmetic services. I highly recommend Dr. Farber and Schweiger Dermatology. I plan to continue coming here for years to come. Thank you!
I had a great experience with Dr. Farber! She’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. I’ve felt rushed at other dermatology offices but not here. Dr Farber took the time to answer all of my questions. The staff is also great and the office very efficient.
I arrived for my appointment. Nobody was there. Later got an offer to re-schedule as if I were the one who didn’t show up.
First and last visit here. Went in for skin problem that I have had for a year that my pcp tried to treat. Saw PA who In 2 minutes told me it was anxiety and prescribed all the treatments I told her didn’t work! Total waste of time. Had to wait an extended amount of time at front desk because receptionist was involved in a conversation about her grandchildren n then finally called me to the desk. Won’t be going back and definitely don’t recommend
Chloe the PA was great as well as medical assistant Margot!! Highly recommend. All of my concerns addressed quickly.
I visited Schweiger Dermatology - Market Street in April 2025 to have a small pigmented lesion (dot-sized pinpoint freckle) evaluated. Dr. Christina Chung briefly examined it and casually mentioned that some patients prefer to leave it as is, while others choose to have it removed. I said I'd prefer to remove it, but what followed was extremely unprofessional. Without any explanation of what the procedure involved, no mention of risks, no warning about side effects, and no eye protection whatsoever, she immediately turned around and sprayed cryotherapy near my eye while standing--without asking me to close my eyes or shield them, and without saying anything about what to expect. There was no informed consent, no explanation that this would be a billable procedure. It felt rushed and careless, as if she was in a hurry. The entire visit lasted around 15 minutes. Then came the billing disaster: * They charged $690 total for this brief visit * My insurance paid $483, despite Schweiger coding the visit incorrectly * I was then billed for the remaining $207, which I disputed in writing * Schweiger never responded to the dispute -- and instead, they sent it to collections I now have a visible scar, and I'm dealing with a collections agency for a procedure that I was never properly informed about or consented to be billed for. My experience with this clinic was stressful, careless, and completely avoidable. What should've been a routine evaluation turned into a billing nightmare and long-term frustration. Patients deserve better -- clear communication, proper consent, basic procedural safety (especially when working near the eyes!), and responsive billing practices. I got none of that here. I strongly advise against this practice if you value ethical care and transparency.

The previous amounts I mentioned, which I initially thought were paid by insurance, were actually just adjustments or discounts that weren’t clearly explained on the statement. I appreciate the clarification and have adjusted my rating to 3 stars to reflect that the billing confusion is now resolved. Nonetheless, I’m still not happy with the initial lack of clear communication, the absence of basic safety measures during the procedure and very poor billing support. If everything had been explained properly from the start, I would have paid the amount right away and avoided all the extra hassle. I hope this feedback helps improve future patient experiences.
If I could give zero stars I would absolutely no diversity at this establishment I wouldn’t go as far as screaming racism but you only see lighter shades in this office absolutely no person of colored as if they weren’t allowed
Wonderful place! I've had two very annoying (but thankfully benign) cysts removed from my head over the past couple years. The staff is courteous and professional, and it's easy to schedule appointments.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
