List of Scot A. Brown's Reviews
Great visit with Dr. Brown. He explained everything that would happen during and after my surgery. He was excellent!
Always attentive & encouraging. Trusted professional.
ZERO! Scot Brown was extremely unprofessional, condescending, dismissive, & very combative. I was referred to him by two Rothman doctors, one is my surgeon. Without any type of examination, he immediately said he couldn't treat me. When I asked why the other two doctors thought he was the person I should see, he threw up his hands & shrugged & said "you would have to ask them." I said, "I am a patient, do you think you could call & ask them?" He was wearing a Patagonia jacket w/ the Jefferson name embroidered on it & we were at Jefferson location, yet he told me that he couldn't access my records which I had previously had at a Jefferson location bc "I don't work for Jefferson...I work for Rothman." I was shocked by this statement & his lack of professionalism, bc we were at a Jefferson facility, & he was wearing a Jefferson jacket, but he did not make any effort to try to access my records or help. I can't imagine going to a doctor and having a worse experience. Just terrible!
My most recent appointment with Dr. Scot Brown was my two year follow up for repairing a Giant Cell Tumor in my right tibia and also the replacement of both knees. These three corrections were done successfully and have truly returned my life to normal. His professionalism, knowledge and caring manner were and continue to be a comfort though this whole experience. He and his staff are alway pleasant, helpful and available either by visit or phone. My questions and concerns are always addressed in a clear and understandable manner.
The most ARROGANT, SELF-CENTERED, UNPLEASANT orthopedic oncologist that does not care about anybody but HIMSELF! I have seen doctor Brown in Philadelphia office. Not only did he NOT explain what is happening to me, he assured me that he would call a conference of doctors to discuss my case to figure out what is going on. NEVER EVER followed up on his promise, never called. During my visit I felt belittled and insignificant. It felt that if he had a stage and microphone he would record himself and enjoyed his own performance too during that speech. I never heard from this liar again or from Rothman Institute for that matter. It's just a huge money making machine that could care less about its patients.
Resected humerus. Follow up.
My visit was great, Dr. Brown and his team listed to my concerns and set a corse of action to help determine my problem.
Wonderful doctor.
My rating for Dr. Scot Brown should be 5 stars and not 2. For my March 13th visit I wrote: “Excellent visit with Dr. Brown-he explained my situation clearly and with concern for my continued well being. I highly recommend him. I couldn’t have gotten better care anywhere. He is a most competent surgeon.” This was a follow up visit monitoring the knee surgery he performed that saved my leg.
Dr. Brown clearly explained my situation to me and was most concerned with my well being both before my surgery and after. I could not have received better care anywhere. He is an excellent surgeon and I dhighly recommend him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
