Steven Hess's Online Review Report Card

I have fair skin with high risk for different types of skin cancer so I've visited many dermatologists over the years. This is a very well run practice. I haven't ever had a problem getting an appointment and I like the level of professionalism displayed by all staff members. Would highly recommend this office.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hess for about 2 years now. From the first day my fears have been gone. My issues that needed to be taking care of were done in such a caring way. His staff are friendly and treat you like family the moment you step in the office. Dr. Hess explains everything in a term you understand not in what I call "Dr. term". Even while doing the procedure he explains what is being done and then starts a conversation with you so you are not thinking about what is going on. I have sent Family to him and I am thanked because they were treated the same. He has a great bedside manner and ever since day one, if someone needs a dermatologist I tell them.DON'T STRESS Go To HESS!!!

I was in and out in no time with my problem solved. He's really good and knowledgeable about what he does. He's covered by most PPOs which is great and the co-pay was cheap. I'm quite satisfied and he was able to do the minor surgery/fix right then and there on the spot in under 30 mins. I was quite amazed and it was the best thing that happened to me all week.

Dr. Hess and his staff at Center City Dermatology are professional, kind and efficient. I had to have two minor surgeries with them, and I was very nervous. Dr. Hess and staff answered all my questions, they have quick and gentle hands, and all pain was minimized. They were sympathetic to my concerns about scarring and took great care not to ruin a tattoo that was close to the stitches. I have follow-up visits planned and I know they are taking good care!

Dr Hess has been my derm since he practiced in the burbs. He is a great clinician and provides spot on analysis and treatment. Super personality and always willing to help a client be fit into the schedule when needed. Easy to talk to, friendly, and speaks to you not at you.

This office is professional and has a great staff. Their front desk is nice and considerate (very rare to find in offices in medical offices in Philly I feel). They welcome you when they pick up the phone! I went in for some dandruff and eczema issues. I first had an appointment 2 weeks out, but then there was a snow day. Tip: Perfect day to call and replace a cancelled appointment. I had no problem getting there in the snow. After all, my scalp was asking for any help it could get! Dr. Hess was genuine and checked me and new course of action I needed next. So far, one month later, it seems to be working well. Although, I still have some irritation, so that's what my next follow up visit is for. Tip: Follow up visits are easier to schedule! They had samples of Dove soap and lotion in the office waiting room. They also provided me with some samples of hand cream. I wish they could have offered some samples of the dandruff treatment, which I later found out they had in stock. I had to fork out a couple hundred of dollars (thanks to my new deductible I had to meet first because it was the beginning of the new year) for the prescriptions, only praying it would work in hopes that I didn't waste my money. Pleased with my visit.
