List of The Philadelphia Hand To Shoulder Center's Reviews
Dr. ReKant and his staff went above and beyond. Their positive attitude towards getting the patient well is remarkable. I would recommend Dr. ReKant and his staff anytime.
Waited on hold for over an hour. Rude lady answers and then hangs up
Dr Strohl was very patient through all my questions. He was able to fix the pain in my wrist with surgery. I am grateful.
Great care and expertise. Always trust my hands to Dr Zelouf.
It was a long wait but once I met with the doctor he appeared very knowledgeable about what he saw on my hand.
Dr. Zelouf was very engaged and listened to my concerns before making any quick judgement calls. His team provided a thorough assessment as well, which I appreciated, considering how extensively I use my hands in my career and everyday life. I would suggest his service to others seeking medical advice. Staff was also pleasant and helpful.
Dr. Miller and Dr. Weir are wonderful surgeons. Professional, caring, and knowledgeable — they performed the surgery for an injured nail/broken finger while making sure I felt fully comfortable during the surgery and provided extremely thorough post-op instructions. Could not recommend both doctors more highly!
Dr. Rekant and the staff at Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder are very caring and professional - they put me at ease regarding my wrist fracture and it's good prognosis right away.
Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My first visit to the office at the Navy Yard location. My appointment was for8:30 Am. I was 20 minutes late due to a large construction project and accident at the location (about 1 blk a away on Crescent Blvd) that had all of the traffic almost stopped. I checked in and was greeted "your a half hour late", "you cant just come in any time you feel like it". The cocky attitude and exaggeration is uncalled for. This young woman has no to cause to speak in a demeaning and dismissive manor to any patient (I'm a 64 year old man) this way. I responded and told her about the delay and said "I'm here now maybe the Dr. can see me". There was 1 person in the waiting room. She went back to a corridor - I'm not sure she spoke to anyone, came back said I had to reschedule. Only 1 other person was in the waiting room and I was willing to wait. By this time it was 8:55 AM. I'll remind everyone in that office that its not uncommon to wait up to an hour or more to see a medical professional - and we wait because we realize issues come up in a Doctors day like everybody else. . I did raised my voice and was disappointed in myself but mostly disappointed at her terrible attitude toward a patient, a senior citizen, a paying customer, and a human being. She kept sarcastically saying "have a nice day" in a cavalier and dismissive manor, escalating the situation. Her brash attitude was intolerable. She also said several times "get out of MY office". "My" office. There was also another office staff member present. I cant give an opinion on the Doctor - I wasn't seen. Customer service is an important part of any medical visit. If I could give a score of “0” on that alone - I would. I should hope that someone could speak to this young lady and explain to her that unexpected things happen, the world is not perfect. The attitude is totally uncalled for. If Doctor Strohl or anyone from the practice wants to contact me, I am happy to speak with them.
Dr. Rekant did a very complex surgery on my right wrist. My wrist was so messed up that I could have lost the use of my right hand (I'm right-handed). I believe that if I had gone somewhere else for surgery, the outcome would have been less successful. Because Dr. Rekant is a highly skilled surgeon and because he has a devotion to excellence, I made a complete recovery. Today I have full use of my right hand and I owe that to Dr. Rekant. I am very happy with his work, and very grateful. Thank you, Dr. Rekant!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
