List of Wills Eye Hospital's Reviews
That general eye clinic front desk reception are some blatantly rude women particularly those of color, short snappy responses, zero eye contact, zero warmth and zero common courtesy
Arrived at 9:05 for a 9:30 appointment. It's 11:36 as I write this and we've been told it'll be another 45 minutes to an hour before being seen. Bring a thick book; you'll be here a while.
This is the best hospital i come almost blind they give treatment and thank God i see again
Little doubt the actual medical care is top shelf but the administrative side was so utterly dysfunctional I canceled the appointment. They asked me to call them back on a voicemail that was not set up. They cancelled my appointment then arbitrarily made a new one at a random date. Hold times nuts. No way am I going to find out what physically being there and dealing with them would be like.
The service at this oculoplastic resident service was extremely disappointing. I waited nearly three hours for what amounted to a five-minute appointment. When I asked about the delay, the response I received was inconsiderate and lacked any sense of professionalism or empathy. Patients time should be respected, and unfortunately that was not the case here. I will not be returning.
Very unorganized doctor's don't communicate with each other. This place needs to be investigated.
Had an appointment this morning at 8:15 for a follow up from the ER. 10:45 still was not seen by a doctor and had to leave to due work. The ER visit was the same. Sat there for 9 hours. Terrible management. You’re better off going elsewhere like i will now have to do.
I am compelled to write this review to warn people that a single visit to this eye ER could cost you thousands of dollars, as we learned the hard way. My husband received an out-of-pocket bill for $2600 for a 20-minute doctor visit during a weekday evening to get his checked his vision after an injury. This visit was covered by insurance as in-network. When I looked into this charge, thinking it must be an error, I contacted Wills. They didn't have any idea why the bill was so high and on further investigation blamed the cost on a "facilities fee" because Wills being located in Jefferson Hospital. What? Wills needs to realize consumers in emergency situations cannot be responsible for knowing the facility charges incurred from a doctor visit. At the very least, patients should be told/warned what the costs are so they make their care decisions accordingly. Most families cannot afford $2600 doctor visits. Sadly, we were blamed for this bill because our insurance didn't pick up more of the cost. So the buck was passed. Jefferson and Wills know these costs, because they are negotiated rates with insurance companies. In sticking us with the bill (they refused to negotiate) they have endorsed a cruel pattern of shifting of costs to the patient.
The doctors might be good, but admin is terrible. They use a call center that often makes scheduling errors. Very long wait times and the staff, though not unfriendly, informs that there is nothing that can be done.
drove 1 hour to go there the first time it was a good experience. The second time a good experience. Now I need cataracts ,ok.They have no idea when the surgery can be preformed I called a month later and they said theres a waiting list meanwhile my vision is fading the nasty woman could give a crap.I said will I be seen in 4-6 weeks the same stupid answer ,theres a waiting list F u lady im going some where else

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
