List of Alan Arthur Axelson's Reviews
Doc and his staff are always extremely nice and helpful!
I have been seeing him for 9 years and he has gone out of his way to make sure my medicine works & is the right dosage and cares more than I thought anyone would. He has gone out of his way for every aspect of my life. I very highly recommend him to everyone. He doesn’t just prescribe medicine, he listens to your problems and symptoms that you are going through then makes a diagnosis. He is very compassionate about all of his patients.
Dr. Axelson is the perfect psychiatrist. He is attentive, intuitive and seasoned. He really listens to me and seems to always leave me with something to think about until my next visit. He has taught me to trust myself and believe in my own judgement.
When I saw him he prescribed medication. I told him I had prior refills on the same drug from my retiring doctor. Upon calling Giant Eagle pharmacy Dr. Axelson's office was told I had refilled this medication 2 weeks prior (this was before I had ever seen him). Both his office and the pharmacy decided on their own that I was "drug seeking.". His office didn't even have the decency to inform me and my perscription was cancelled. I'm not drug seeking and I hid nothing from them as I informed them of what I was taking, who persribed it and when. I called the office and they refused to fix it, instead his nurse demanded that I come in yet again. Do not waste your time with them or Wesley Services as they did not respond to my concerns either. They don't care about patients and they automatically assume everyone is a drug addict without evidence. Horrible experience.
Dr. Axelson is the most wonderful-as well as-caring physician ever! I have been seeing him for many years and trust him entirely. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and always goes ‘above and beyond’ to ensure I receive the best care possible. He has helped me and my (young) boys tremendously-and in many way! I cannot say enough great things about him!
Due to the lack of proper care, I am now in end stage renal disease and going on the kidney transplant list.
Don't waste your time.
He's the Doctor at Chartiers Residential Treatment Program in Bridgeville. I had been off my medication for months and was homeless. I came to Chartiers after a recent hospitalization, Dr. Axelson adjusted my medication for me. I 'm doing very well now, I have a case manager, and I'll be getting my own apartment very soon, and a job, too!! I'm so excited to be starting a new chapter in my life!! Thank-you very much, Dr. Axelson!!
Diagnosed me with ADD within 10 minutes. Never follow-up or managed his CRNP. As a result, damaged my body due to medication malpractive. Do not go here - they will kill you by a slow death, as I am experiencing.
he's really creepy and all he cares about is putting people on medication so he can get money such a waste of time

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
