He performed surgery for cubital tunnel release. And now 10 months later I am starting back over because apparently it didn't work. When I tried to explain anything to him after the 4th visit post op...he sarcastically told me..well I told you it probably wouldn't work. Well no...that conversation was never had..or any other for that matter. Thank God I have found a better doctor. Please save yourself the pain and aggravation and run from this doctor

First visit I was given an x ray. Which wouldn’t show a shoulder tear, which was my concern. The PA came in, introduced himself, had me do some range of motion stuff and said I would get a steroid shot. Not much was explained to me about it, and was given NO aftercare instructions, like no soaking or heat on it, I only learned that (thankfully) because I looked online before using a heating pad. Dr T came in the room, did not introduce himself, didn’t look at me, had me move my arms a bit, said ok and left. I was told by the PA that I’d do some PT. 6 weeks of PT and range of motion was better but pain had shifted and I wasn’t able to do some exercises. When I had my 6 week checkup I didn’t see the PA. Again Dr T walked in with no eye contact, no introduction and just started moving my arm. I explained the pain in my shoulder blade and shoulder, and how it changed but was still there. He was rude and said it’s not your shoulder, just stop PT. The pain I had did settle after I stopped PT but is creeping back again. I will NOT go back to him. One of the very worst experiences I have ever had with a doctor.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for taking good care on my son. I will be forever grateful .
Dr. Tissenbaum could not have been nicer. He also was very complete concerning my ailment. I would recommend him to anyone.
This man should not have a medical license. He will barely glance at your MRI and tell you whatever answer is most convenient to him. He will give you a cortisone shot and tell you you're fine when you need major surgery. He won't even look you in the eye when he does it. He's either incompetent or purposely causing harm to his patients. Something needs done. There is a group of former patients trying to take action to prevent this man from continuing to harm people. If you are a patient of this man and are concerned with how you've been treated, know that you are not alone. Do some research and see what options you have. There are many others.
I have been seeing Dr. Tissenbaum for a number of years because of his excellent skills as a surgeon. This man needs a lesson in interpersonal skills and bedside manner. Total ego and arrogance.

I saw him once and he wasn’t interested in treating me because of my insurance. Yes, my insurance was Medicare/ Medicaid and he was more interested in treating patients with the top dollar payout insurance so his take would be higher. He walked into the room and asked me to see my wrist and rashly spouted out “there’s nothing I can do for you “, and walked back out of the room. All took place in less than 20 seconds.
Dr. is arrogant and rude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
