I rarely ever write reviews. But I am so impressed with Dr Amy Kelly that I just thought I would pass my experience on. I went to her with long standing issues and she is the most kind, compassionate, knowledgeable doctor I have ever found. My past experience with doctors have been subpar. After speaking with her for the first time I just knew that she was the right surgeon. She successfully performed a complete hysterectomy for me. No issues post procedure even though I have massive amounts of scar tissue from previous surgeries. I would recommend her to anyone as I'm not an easy case. No regrets.

Professional, compassionate, and beyond skilled. She has all the best qualities that any physician, especially an OB-Gyn, should have!

Had the best experience with Dr. Kelly. She has the best bedside manner and was always available and took time with our care. Would refer her to any and all that I know.

Dr. Kelly has taken exceptional care of me throughout my complicated pregnancies. Her reassuring demeanor and patient compassion are a true blessing. She is fantastic.

She delivered both of my boys. She was very helpful & comapsionate during my whole pregnancy. I'm very saddened that she is leaving but anxious to see where she ends up because I'll defiantly follow.

The amount of professionalism and compassion that comes from this doctor is AMAZING!!! Having seen her perform hundreds of procedures, many of which have to be done under duress, I can say she may be the best skilled OB-Gyn physician in the Twin Cities!! As to rating an OB-Gyn on their clinical punctuality, you must understand that, often, they are called out during their busy clinics to tend to someone who is laboring or having some pressing issue. One must approach this in the sense that if YOU were the person having difficulty, and Dr. Kelly left her clinic to help you, your poor ratings would be exchanged for a letter of appreciation! Surgically, she is a pleasure to work with. Again, she carries herself as a professional, treating others with respect, but when a challenging situation presents itself, the staff look to her for her leadership. She is what I consider to be the FIRST CHOICE for OB-Gyn in the Twin Cities.

In a rush for appointments, performs unnecessary interventions (stripping membranes without informing the patient, inductions when not necessary and Csections when not neceessary). She also stripped my membranes without asking and caused me to bleed...that was my first time bleeding and cramping. I was crying. She overall wants the baby out ASAP at 40 wks. I was induced due to white coat syndrome despite normal BPs at home and normal tests which led to a csection. You could see my babies head and all she wrote on her report was that it was decided not to use the vacuum...she never talked to us about it.. She did not follow up with any of my appts after having my child either. Never saw her again. Terrible. I also agree her PA was condescending many times and was "higher" than you.. STAY AWAY

She is knowledgeable, but not very patient-oriented. She stripped my membranes without my permission. Left me bleeding on the table without telling me what had happened. I figured it out on my own. She showed up very late to my induction delivery. The nurse called her multiple times and looked visibly nervous/upset by the time Dr. Kelly arrived. I think I was ready to push for almost an hour before she got there. She also performed an episiotomy without my permission. Her PA was condescending at times and told me I probably wouldn't be able to take my baby home when I was supposed to. She was wrong and caused me unnecessary stress at a time when I was sleep deprived and worried about my baby.

Dr. Kelly is the best doctor I've ever had. She always makes me feel like my health concerns are as important to her as they are to me. She takes the time to listen to me, explores and offers medical options and provides a reasonable rationale for her recommendations. Her bedside manner is exceptional; she is compassionate, understanding, down-to-earth, friendly and fun. In addition, Dr. Kelley's medical and surgical skills are first-rate. Her staff are wonderful as well.
