I was referred to Dr Makaroun by my cardiologist. He couldn’t have made a better recommendation. The Dr. was excellent, accommodating, very personable. The carotid surgery went great and the follow up did also. The staff were all great. After working in a hospital for almost 37 years this is the kind of experience you should always receive. Thank you Dr Makaroun and staff.

Dr.Makaroun has performed 4 surgeries on my legs.He is beyond reproach and his surgical skills are the best.He also has a caring compassionate personality.

I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. He appears to be a proficient surgeon however, he failed to do the most basic follow up. Because of that I ended up having a stroke and a seizure. Even then when I called his office and asked for help they told me " they didn't do that". They said I needed to contact a Neurologist for the follow up. They would not facilitate an appointment or do anything to help the process at all. Thank God I don't have any permanent damage.

He listened,did not rush for an answer, followed thru with a solution to a very critical issue that was ignored by my original surgeon. Disappointment came when those in trusted for follow up care we're not of the caliber of Dr. M. I found myself in the position of having to return with a second complication to be treated by Dr. H. another kind, understanding doc but never getting the opportunity to say thanks.

I have been under DR.Makaroun's care since 2000.He has performed 4 surgeries,with great results each time,and is surely the reason I still have my legs.I have tests and see him every 6 months.He is very patient,considerate,informative when we meet.In the operating room,he's Dynomite

After a wonderful consult, the office staff was next to impossible to obtain information from, did not return phone calls, ordered the wrong tests and seemed to be okay with it. I feel my insurance company and I were ripped off since the test ordered and the test performed were 2 completely different tests leaving me without any kind of diagnosis.
