List of Swarna Varma's Reviews
We have had Dr.Varma for over 5 years.. and if I could give her 10 Stars I would… She goes over & above what most doctors do to help us.. and her nurse Karen also is great getting all our prescriptions called in a accurate.. When we need a refill & an appointment.. one call is all we need to do..
We have OUTSTANDING Patient care. She has help me with my blood sugar.. She does take my appointment on time. She DOES ANSWER my questions & calls ASAP.. Her Staff Karen DOES ALWAYS have all my prescriptions & referrals completed quickly.. Dr.Varma does have offices at several locations that saves us time from driving to her main office location… I am very BLESSED that I found Dr.Varma..
Horrible place! They are rude to patients. The phone was answered with attitude. They refuse to help me get insulin when I’ve been a patient for years. Do not recommend. There are so many other nice endo offices around. Very very unprofessional!
I don't even know where to begin. I could write a 50 page essay full of negative stuff but I will keep it short and highlight a couple areas that any possible patient looking for a doctor should be aware of. On the first day i had ever gone to her office, I was told by the staff to always call about 30 minutes before appointment time to see how far behind she was running. I thought that was strange until i had to wait 3 hours and 45 minutes to be seen that very day lol.. Every single appointment i ever had with her was late like that. Some just an hour or so...others way longer. She likes to reprimand patients. If you actually respond well to that, she will be perfect for you. I have always done an ok job with my diabetes numbers but I would struggle with pregnancies. It was like she would get mad or something. I dont want to be coddled or have things sugar coated at all but I will NOT put up with anger coming from someone I am paying for service. Period. And one final example.. I asked for more tests strips because I liked to keep tight control of my numbers. Well, I was told I was addicted to test strips. They are plastic strips where I have to poke my finger with a sharp needle to get blood. I can really see how one could get addicted to that. With always having pain and calluses, I'm surprised there arent millions of people addicted to testing their sugar levels the exact amount as the American Diabetic Association recommends. Yes... that's sarcasm. I never went back to her office again! You'll be happy to know I now have a CGM and NEVER test my sugars now. I cant make this s@#t up lol.
I wasn’t seen to late for my appointment however they were awful with directions. I had to go to the Uniontown office and since they just told me Uniontown I figured it would be Uniontown Hospital, it wasn’t, so I had to call them to find out where they were located and they told me Cherry Tree, Cherry Tree isn’t just one building and they don’t have a name outside of the building, even when I eventually found the building I couldn’t find their office because their paper was extremely small and I only realized it was a room when I noticed somebody walk out. I did like how she went down my list and asked questions but the receptionists were terrible and made me feel like an idiot.
Dr. Varma is WONDERFUL! You may have to wait a little longer than expected but it's because she is being through with every patient. She takes the time to talk to you, go over your history and come up with a plan. She is very intelligent & caring.
I waited 2 hours, on 2 separate occasions, to be food shamed about my thyroid. After having issues for 4 years and as a health major myself, I was trying everything possible. My antibodies were through the roof...yet she stayed on her pedestal of food lecture. Would not listen to one word of history, experience, trials, or concern. Was more focused on problems in the office... I will not go back.
Had appointment at 11.30 was not seen until after 4.00 doctor did not arrive until 12.15. Was more concerned about the office printer. Left with an Un answered question that she said she would get to and never did. No apology was offered by anyone. Uniontown office did not have any sign on outside of building and only the smallest typed paper on the door for location. Had to ask adjoining office the air conditioning was not working and office not very clean. Was feeling feverish and was told office did not have a thermometer! Was told my blood pressure was a little high this time and was given a scrip instead of taking into account what I told them. That I had body aches a fever and was overheated. Most doctors would consider that and retake blood pressure when I was feeling better. Also had not had food all day. Elderly patients also waiting with.no where to sit. Will never go back
Isn’t it great to arrive early for your appointment but Varma isn’t even here? 30 minutes late and counting! Always a long long wait. She is a thorough doctor but enough is enough. Update: Almost an hour late. Still not here. There was an 8am patient. Imagine that?!
Excellent and through Dr. ..Very knowledgeable and good at evaluating the WHOLE person. Very satisfied patient.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
