Uhler Vision Care's Online Review Report Card

Doctor was great. Eyeglasses not so much. I couldn't see out of my right eye. When I went back in, I was told "the lenses work together. You shouldn't necessarily be able to see out of both lenses independently." What? Then when they kept slipping down my nose and I asked about having them adjusted (two trips to the store), I was told to rough up the nose pads with some sandpaper so they wouldn't slip. Completely unprofessional.After a few months, I went to another doctor - I think a number may have been read incorrectly as the prescription was different by one number. Could my eyes have changed in three months? Maybe, but unlikely.A shame...I've gotten glasses there before without a problem. Never again.

I have read some negative reviews but my experience has been nothing but 5 stars. It was easy to make an appointment not like most eye places where you have to wait 3 months for an appointment. The staff was friendly and very efficient. I had a very thorough eye exam and feel very confident in their findings. The Robinson office has an OTC camera that takes a picture of the inside of your eye. It does cost $35 but it is well worth it. Dr Uhler is very professional and knowledgeable. I had my eyes dilated so I did not shop for my glasses yet. They do give you a copy of your prescription in case you want to get your glasses somewhere else. I definitely recommend this office.

The Uhler Vision Care is outstanding in both patient care and customer service! Dr. Mark J. Uhler is a highly trained and experienced doctor of optometry who graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Salus University, in 1992 with a Clinical Excellence Citation from The Eye Institute. As 2005 Walmart Doctor of the Year, Dr. Uhler has served on the Walmart Advisory Panel for the past six years. Currently, he has been appointed as a Director on the board for The Western PA Optometric Association as well as President of the Energeyes Association. He combines expertise with focused care. From his excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like. Dr. Uhler takes his time to explain conditions, address concerns, and suggest treatment options. Also, the staff is extremely friendly and professional (Shoutout to Kathy, Melissa, and Flo). They take their time to select the best eyewear covered by your insurance, and you only wait more than a few minutes when you arrive on time for an appointment. My family and I have been with this clinic for 10 years, and we always have a great visit with this practice!

Avoid at all costs

Dr. Uhler is wonderful. Made sure to take the time to understand my history, remembered me from prior appointments and didn’t come across as rushed. Flo, his assistant, was absolutely fantastic! I really appreciate the time and attention that everyone in the office took and showed, even when it was busy.

In the times we are in now everything operates completely different than what we’re used to. I would like to commend the staff at the Walmart Vision Center in Robinson. It was very evident that their team has taken everyone’s safety seriously. As someone who is considered “at risk“ I felt safe and confident that the best practices were put into place despite the opposition. They are very professional as always and treat you with respect. I trust them with my family’s eyes!!!

Helped me through vision changes and ultimately deciding to get LASIK. Best decision I made

I have seen Dr. Uhler since 2001 - minus a few years when I was living out of town. He found a significant health condition during my routine eye exam. It had been missed for years by others. He is thorough and explains his findings and plan for your eye care. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. I recommend Uhler Vision to anyone I can.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this vision center. Even though it's located in Walmart, it is very professional. I was immediately greeted. I never had to wait and was was treated very kindly and courteously by the staff and doctor. I had a very thorough eye exam performed. All my questions were answered and I didn't feel rushed. I will definitely be going back to this location for all of my vision needs. I highly recommend.
