Excellent patient care and significant devotion for clinical process improvement.
So slow , you have to wait for hours for basic things
Excellent and fast service nurses and doctors work very hard for my husband
This place leaves much to be desired. 1. I presented with left arm pain and informed Dr Gregory Hayner that there was no fall or bone trauma and that I needed an UltraSound. He stated that both X-ray and US would be done. Five hours later and after only an X-ray I’m told by Dr Gwendolyn Schillo that no US would be performed. If that information was provided in the beginning I would not have wasted my time or BCBS insurance. 2. During the in rom X-ray the tech pulled up the hazardous container and attempted to prop my arm on it. I can go on and on but it might be a mute point.
Terrible experience! Security was needlessly aggressive to others, and nurses were openly talking bad about patients. Came in for stomach pain and they only tested my pee and no further work was done. Had to go to another hospital to get my appendix out. They do not care about the people who come in.
I was sent to this hospital from another and they were so busy people were lining up in gerneys in the hallways. I couldn't figure out why I was here because they are also remodeling the place So after seeing that I was not that important I was put in a old place that it looked like a storage closet. I had to pee and this man told me I had to use a bed pan and I couldn't use it he said let me push hard on your bladder and we will see if you can go. If my family would have helped me to leave I'd have been gone. The male person said I was only there a hour and didn't need any more attention. He was like those guys who abuse elderly. I waited until I could not hold it anymore but the person that took me to restroom. I was happy. I had to stay in that room till morning. I eventually got my own room. The staff was excellent especially Kelly
My husband unfortunately has been to this hospital 3 times in 6 weeks. I cannot praise this organization enough. The parking attendants, cafeteria staff, the family surgical waiting room staff were so patient and kind. Dr Waung and all the surgical team members were so supportive and also very patient. The ER staff, well we cannot say thanks enough!! And last but not least the staff on 12D Awesome from admission to discharge! What an asset to this city and community!
Very nice, clean, modern hospital. Every single member of medical staff was helpful and friendly. There was almost no wait for all the tests I had done. The cafeteria is beautiful, and staff are great. Parking is however, a nightmare. Each parking employee was rude and dismissive. Just paying for valet was a confusing ordeal. I'd much rather park my own vehicle, than have had to deal with these people. Unfortunately though, self-park was unavailable (first thing in the morning? Come on.)
i would rather die from my condition then go back to this hospital.
While they kept my boyfriend alive, the staff at UPMC are NOT good at communicating at all. They neglected to share pertinent information. No one kept me informed . I'm so disappointed in the care and communication of this hospital. They still have not even filled out his short term disability papers we r so behind on bills hes not even going to have a place to live!No communication to patients. Wait times are atrocious. They say one thing and do another. Told me they had to do testing on my boyfreind for the next 5-6 days that he had 3 operations 1 major and 2 not as major but major he had a aortic disection well instead they are realizing him today 3 days early thats crazy how can the dr stress to me on the phone how important the next 5-6 days is for him to be there and now they are just sending him home . I will never recommend this hospital to anyone horrible place! IF ZERO STARS WAS AN OPTION I WOULD GIVE THE ---5

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
