Poor service. Did not care about the reason I needed sent down. Made a fabricated visit note. These doctors don't know what they are talking about. I could have done better myself and saved alot of money!!! They didn't even address the reason I went in the first place. I got the answer "I don't know " if I wanted that answer I would have stayed home and asked my child.
I went to the ER Tuesday Evening and was there overnight. I was admitted but there weren’t any rooms so I stayed where I was in Emergency department. I want to acknowledge a couple specific people. Dr Conway. The most thorough doctor I’ve had in a long time and first one in an emergency room. When she heard my history on the problem I have she asked and listened. She had the best bed side manner, she got answers I’ve been asking for years. She said she would get me answers. She did what she said she would and followed through. I’ll say this about the entire team on duty that night, your all awesome! So professional, I never even noticed how busy they were til I couldn’t get a regular room. Cheyenne my nurse… she was more than that. She went above and beyond. I was alone and afraid. As busy as they were she helped ease some of my fear and do her job taking care of me. I’ve had so many bad experiences with medical visits but this was by far the best. (If you have to be sick anyway) My IV guy I can’t remember his name (maybe Clint?) not sure and I’m sorry for that , but he was on the wall like employee of month type thing. He let me ramble and ramble and none of them once lost their patience ( in front of me) when I had my biggest meltdown and decided I couldn’t stay. It was too much all around for me and my personal things happening at that time. Cheyenne made sure I knew how important following up on the visit was. I am finally starting to feel better. Antibiotics finally kicking in. I made an appt for Monday. Cheyenne! Thank you again all of you.
Excellent people! Took good care of me!
7/25/23 I WAS THERE 4 HOURS! GET REAL DAMN DOCTORS INSTEAD OF A P.A. I WAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF AND I WILL DO EVERYTHING I POSSIBLY CAN TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE TO COMPLAIN. I GAVE THIS 1 STAR BECAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY I CAN COMMENT. DO BETTER
Had CT scans, prompt courteous and knowledgeable. Supposed to schedule needle biopsy. No communication at all. Over a month. Would not communicate with me, my doctor, or their own patient relations team. Can't start treatment plan till biopsy. Time matters. Won't even pick up the phone. Scheduled elsewhere for two weeks from now. Care at St Margaret's is good if you can access it. Do not recommend. Bad management kills people too.
We have been here for a week. My husband had vascular surgery with Dr Hager. I stayed in the room with him the entire time. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, helpful, caring. The hospital is clean and beautiful. Nurse managers came daily, administrative came and spoke to us, discharge planner came daily, brought a daily plan summary, made sure we had everything we needed for care at home. Dr Hager is the best, his surgical team is aces! They have made a very scary time for us easier and less stressful. 100% recommended!
This place discriminated against color. The employees would let the white ppl walk to their's car after Procedures. But we, black folks, if we do that, they'll try to threaten you by calling the cops on you if you try to walk to your car after procedure even if you're not even the driver.
Came in at 11 pm it is now 2:34 pm. My mother was one of the first patients in the ER waiting room yet people who came after she did, got a room. I see several open rooms now and here she is. In pain, as doctors just stare at her in pain and walk past her. Last time she was here she was immediately put in a room and on an IV. You know what I dont see? Good bed side manners or doctors or nurses who actually care about patient care. No body has even asked if she was alright. She can barely move and they know that since she was here last Thursday and the doctor in charge SAID to come back if her pain persists. So we trusted in this place to take care of her and instead shes thrown in a hall way with no pain medications. In pain and uncomfortable. Do better.
I had foot surgery. Needed overnight stay. Initial entrance information desk seemed put out, but after that I couldn't of been in better hands. Once called from waiting room smooth sailing made sure I was comfortable entire time. After surgery recovery nurse constantly made sure I was comfortable. Once moved into a room the floor nurses were the best. I try not to bother, but they checked on me steady. The night nurse was extremely helpful. I have no complaints and know I need future leg surgeries. St Margaret's will be my first choice depending on Doctors. Dr Hasselman is a foot Surgeon in my opinion worked a miracle on my non functional foot, and relieved pain and am now able to walk on that foot. More about him to follow on his page. Amazing surgeon.
The only reason I selected one star was because it was required to add my comment. This review is exerting more time and a greater effort then they (UPMC St. Margaret's) provide to the treatment of patients in their ER and in general this UPMC facility at large. Please, please use an alternative source of healthcare for loved ones or you own medical needs.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
