List of Upmc Urgent Care Shadyside's Reviews
Friendly, courteous and professional staff, I was in and out very quickly and am recovering from my injury! Thanks Aly and Tony and a few others whose names escape me
Absolutely wonderful staff ! I was so hesitant on going to the urgent care after the “it isn’t that serious” “don’t worry about it” , but after 2 days and oozing out of the wound - I decided to be seen and thankful for that Marnie (CRNP) who recognized the importance of me being seen asap ! Unfortunately it is cellulitis, same right side , as when I was flying (Flight Attendant) and had the exact same issue- cellulitis- right bottom leg - same side as the “mass” that was removed from my spine at UNC (right side paraspinal musculature sacral up through the lumbar region - which after 10years +++ out of the clear blue - grew back and even larger. I am so grateful for the UPMC STAFF Shadyside Urgent Care team, I felt cared for and supported- cellulitis is not a joke and can be serious, if left untreated . Unfortunately with my immune system being compromised, the infection was quick 2 days - thank you UPMC URGENT CARE STAFF !!!
You wait several hours for a 5min talk with the doctor. Update: everyone working here are super nice. I appreciate the help. But UPMC should consider adding more people here to reduce waiting time.
had such an amazing experience with a nurse practitioner there. not sure if i can say her name on a public forum but she was VERY knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate. she expressed sympathy for my issue even though it was minor, and made me feel cared for. she wrote a work excuse without me having to ask, and listened in detail to everything i had to say. would love to submit a positive survey for her but i couldn’t find a way to.
Provider thought they had made a great discovery by telling me I “might” have a disease I’ve had for 20+ years. Claimed “it wasn’t in your chart” Really? Then why is every other provider in the system and out able to see my script? Why did your MA ask if I was still taking the medication for it? Waste of time. Bite the proverbial bullet and wait to go to your PCP. If it is urgent, go to an ER. At least they hopefully will know how to read decades old medical information in your chart.
This is the best urgent care . I come here for everything (covid, animal bite, accidentally falling on a fork). They always take good care of me and give me what I need. The wait has never been more than an hour. One of the doctors remembered me and that made me feel good.
Excellent care from being checked in by Cinnamon, to Rae, a great medical assistant, and finally getting sutures from Jess. Thank you UPMC Urgent Care!
Outstanding! We were traveling to Pittsburgh & a family member came down with strep on a Sunday. We were able to easily make an appt there and were seen with only a small wait. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lindsay, the nurse practitioner, was our caregiver and she was very warm, friendly, thorough & knowledgeable. As far as Urgent Care visits go, it deserves an 'A'.
I called to get information and the staff were rude for no reason. They were impatient, short, and not helpful. It feels like they don’t really care. I would not go there.
Extremely dissatisfied. I came here to get checked. I wanted my prescription sent over to CVS at Centre Avenue so I could pick it up right after my check up. I was told by the PA that it will be ready in a little bit. But it never went through and the lady at CVS confirmed that there was nothing sent over from UPMC Shadyside Urgent Care. I ended up buying otc meds to manage my symptoms. This is a lot of inconvenience and does not live up to the label “urgent care”. Perhaps, what I was feeling was irrelevant to them and there was NO SENSE OF URGENCY AT ALL. I am filing a formal complaint against this branch and the people who we’re supposed to help me there but did not.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
