Amy Weber's Online Review Report Card

I have been dealing with painful, recurring episcleritis for years, so when I was required to have cataract surgery, I was interested in finding the very best cataract surgeon who was skilled in dealing with cases involving past inflammation issues of the eyes . My cousin recommended Dr. Amy Weber. I found Dr. Weber to be knowledgeable, a good listener, attentive to my concerns and an outstanding surgeon. From my initial consultation and forward, I felt the assurance that I was in good hands. Dr. Weber also has an excellent medical team. Special thanks to nurse, Carey, and to cordial and helpful Kathy and her colleague at the surgery center’s front desk.

I came to see Dr Amy Weber with symptoms of blurry and double vision. These symptoms would come and go mostly when I was active moving around especially when I lowered my head. I had mentioned I had covid and experienced symptoms 1 week later. Her answer was " my gut tells me it is from covid it may take a year to resolve as did my covid symptoms of loss of taste and smell. I asked for a MRI of brain to just make sure , she refused saying Insurance won't cover it I can't come up with a reason why you would need an MRI. I asked again saying I had good ins they will cover , she refused. I went to get another opinion, immediately given MRI benign tumors of the cavernous sinus and pituitary was found that could lead to loss of vision. I was Taken to surgery quickly using Jefferson and now im being watched closely to monitor the tumors as well as routine visits at Wills eye neuro-opthomology dept. Please get more opinions after visits with this Dr. My hope for this doctor is to listen.

Very satisfied with her examination of me. The exam was thorough and her explanation were clear and complete. Allocated enough time to do and all around excellent job.

She knows her stuff, no doubt. But her desire to have the appointment over with as quickly as possible was palpable. While I received answers to what I came in for, ultimately I left feeling very upset with the overall experience. Impatient, curt, and generally condescending.

Thought she was good but prescribed high dosage of prednisone before testing me for what she thought was a blinding disease.she didn’t help me to get off prednisone. Told me to find other dr. She is arrogant,rude, nasty, and doesn’t care about people she’s doesn’t deserve to be a doctor. She’s the worse person in the medical field that I have ever met. Beware! If u need help, go to someone else. She is terrible.

I’ve been seeing Dr Weber for over 15 years for general eye care and most recently cataract surgeries (both eyes). I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Weber’s professionalism , communication and surgical excellence. Both cataracts were performed flawlessly and with no anxiety on my part , for the most part owing to Dr. Weber’s clear explanations , alternative treatments available and follow up communications from both her and her staff at both the office and out patient surgery center. Everyone I had the pleasure of dealing with was both kind ,professional and showed genuine interest in my treatment.

She is the doctor and you are the patient. Period. No human interaction. Doesn’t appear to like people.

Dr Weber is a wonderful doctor and extremely intelligent. Her practice seems to be a who’s who of local celebrities based on my visits. If you are interested she will speak to you intelligently and take the time to explain the medical issue and ensure you understand the anatomy, physiology or isssue. I can’t say enough positive things. PS she is also a voracious reader and is a great source for new books to read!
