I had a horrible experience with epidural during my delivery at Paoli hospital, PA. I was admitted to the Paoli hospital on September 12th for my delivery. I was given epidural by Ashley Caplan. She gave me a very high dose epidural due to which even my hands became numb which is not expected on a normal dose epidural. Also I had to be given Oxygen due to shortness of breath. An hour later doctor came to start the delivery process but I was unconscious and unable to cooperate due to the high dose epidural given to me. Doctor went panic and called all other staff and asked to get the baby out on emergency. Since I was unable to stay awake Doctor finally had to vacuum the baby out. It left a bruise on baby’s head which is still there.I had to wait hours after my delivery to gain momentum of my hands and legs back. I was unable to even hold the baby during all this time.
