I had scheduled an appointment with Dr. Bailey and had to fly across the country for the . That was my choice because I wanted the best of care. Unfortunately, I had an awful experience. I arrived for my appointment to find out that Dr. Bailey was unable to make it into the office. The practice never contacted me regarding the situation. I could have made other arrangements. Very inconsiderate and disrespectful to me & other patients. There was another patient who was very upset & who traveled from another state as well for care. Total disregard for the importance of my time. Thomas Jefferson University and Wills Eye Hospital is better than this.

Dr. Bailey didn't know me from Adam, and I'm a Medicare patient, yet he devoted himself, his time, and his staff to my demanding needs, as if I were a personal friend or family member. I left his care in awe - impressed and grateful. Cataract surgery takes 10-15 minutes. After my original Wills physician with a fancy Princeton address kept putting off my surgery until my retiring retina specialist whispered, "Mark, your doctor has waited too long. He's too conservative. You better get that cataract out, or you're going to suffer complications," I found Dr. Bailey. He confirmed I needed to get it out, and it would be difficult. My surgery took over an hour. Dr. Bailey backed up his entire day of surgeries that day and went home late to his family, all for a man he never met and could not bill for the extra time in which he could have done 4 or 5 other surgeries, and he did the surgery himself; not an intern or resident was present.

He spent an hour and a quarter on me; not his assistant or intern. Dr. Bailey tirelessly operated on my eye for an hour and a quarter. I see better out of that eye than my other. I'm particularly appreciative of Dr. Bailey's devotion, as I'm familiar with the business and politics of running a thriving medical or surgical practice, today. The emphasis is on volume. It is my purpose to highlight and thank Dr. Bailey and his entire staff for their devotion. I know I received special, expensive, and non-billable time. I shout his praises from the rooftop. He's earned it. He's a very special man.By the way, as an added extra, the optical shoppe they run is likewise devoted to patients. Their prices are discounted for their patients, and the personal devotion you receive almost equals that of Dr. Bailey.

Dr Bailey performed cataract surgery and gave me a new lease on life. Not only was he a superb surgeon he was kind and answered all my questions.His staff is fantastic and I thank him for letting me see the world again Judith j Bailey

Dr. Robert Bailey did my lens explants two months ago. I had heard excellent reviews on his ability to remove wrong lens implanted. He did not disappoint at all. He is a very kind, caring doctor who is very skilled at what he does. I would highly recommend this clinic and especially this caring doctor.

Dr Bailey is a great surgeon and a great doctor. I owe my great vision to him. A previous surgery elsewhere was mediocre .His surgery brought me to a perfect vision for both reading and distance. I am forever grateful!

I am extremely excited with my vision after my cataract surgery this week. Dr. Bailey is a kind gentleman and well worth the trip to Philadelphia from Jersey to get treated by the Chief of Cataract Surgery at the nation's #1 rated eye hospital!!

Dr Bailey performed a cataract removal and lense implant as well as a stent implant for Glaucoma in one operation . . The next day my vision was 20/20 in the operated eye and my eye pressure was the lowest it has ever been. I had no pain or swelling and continue to have excellent results . Dr Bailey gave me the confidence to have all three procedures done at once . His staff in the surgical center as well as In his office are knowledgeable and courteous. I have referred all members of my family to him.

I waited 1 hour and 35 minutes to see dr Bailey I waited 6 months to get an appointment. When I finally got into the exam room I was so rushed by the technician I asked if I could see the doctor before my eyes were dilated. They DID not like that. A break in protocol slowed down their factory production. Dr Bailey was flustered he was so busy. I had a problem but was not comfortable in such a “factory production line”. I am still searching for a good ophthalmologist.

I believe Dr. Bailey is a good physician. I did expect not to have to wear glasses for my distance vision, as my implants were for distance, but it was not a perfect match which disappointed me. I knew I would have to wear glasses for close/mid vision. The wait time is his office is usually ridiculous. I have spent hours in his waiting room. His front office staff is not friendly, and borderline rude. The staff in the back are a bit better. Would I recommend him?
