Dr. Shikara has ALWAYS had my best interest in mind, and spirit! She is Always kind and caring. She has never done anything that made me distrust her!!!! Thank You for the many years of great health care!!!!

I had been going to Dr. Shikara ever since I was a kid. During this time, I had multiple health issues that she would ignore for months. When I told her that her suggestions didn't work, she would insist that I wasn't following her directions and that I was fine. After finally getting her to recommend me to a GI, I was diagnosed with GERD, IBS, and had my gallbladder removed. She has horrendous bedside manner and is one of the most condescending PCPs I have ever met. There were multiple times that I was sick and refused to go to her because of the treatment I knew I'd receive. I do not suggest going to her- ever. You will simply leave feeling as though you're crazy and making up your symptoms. Don't waste your time, just go to someone who cares.

She was late. She lacked any bedside manner. She spoke very condescendingly to me (I have a masters degree). I was treated badly and even asked to speak to her supervisor. She asked me to leave.I gladly did and I spoke to the administrator.

DR SHIKARAS' OFFICE LOST MY RX FOR SOMA THAT I HAVE BEEN TAKING FOR 30 YEARS W/O ANY PROBLEMS. DR SHIKARA CALLED ME AT HOME AND ACCUSED ME OF PICKING UP THE RX AND THEN CALLING AND SAYING PHARMACY DID NOT HAVE IT. VERY RUDE AND INSULTING, I USUALLY TOOK THE SOMA FOR NECK SPASMS AND STIFFNESS THAT LEADS TO A MIGRAINE HEADACHE BUT SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE PERCOCET THAT HER PREDECESSOR HAD ORDERED SO I WAS TAKING 1 TAB EVERYDAY PRIOR TO GOING TO BED-IT WAS WORKING FOR THE PAIN AND STIFFNESS.
