List of Matthew Naegle's Reviews
I recently had an appointment for the first time with Dr. Naegle. He took ample time with me and asked me questions and answered several of my questions. He offered me a suggestion on how he could treat me and offered literature for me to take home and think about whether or not I wanted to pursue his suggestion. He was very proactive in his approach to my situation and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs to see a rheumatolgist.
I really like him but out of the blue he cut me off my tramadol. I have cancer and fibermyalga and always in pain
Dr Naegle was the first Dr to diagnose my Fibromyalgia, a condition I had never heard of at that time I asked him several times what I had and he repeated it and explained it in a way that I could understand when my brain was swimming I have also been to him as my PCP and the response and treatment has been very good
I liked Dr Naegle , I had blood work done trying to find out what is wrong ,office hard to get through tp get information, i finally got a call back telling me bloodwork is ok . I said well what is the next step still feeling bad., she said i forgot to ask him that. she never got back to me now I'm at square one again . Don't know what to do anymore
Dr Naegle is a great Dr. Very thorough and very compassionate.
there aren't many gout experts, Dr Naegle is the expert.
Dr Naegle is an excellent Dr.
He is a excellant MD. I have been going to him for 28 years. I have an autoimmune disease which keeps me on steroids. He kept me going all this time. I recently had a spinal fission at TJefferson . I was visited by the head of rheumatalogy , When I told her Matt was my MD she could not say enough about how good a physician he is . He also has a great nurse .
Dr Naegle is pleasant and thorough but generally hurried as his appointments are scheduled back-to-back. He is knowledgable but once he derives an opinion, he is not likely to explore other options. The nurses in his office are wonderful though the office staff can sometimes be rude and abrupt. Sometimes Dr Naegle is not the best with communicating with medical staff outside of PMA so if you need continuity of care between various providers, you may expect that there be delays in phone calls and proper authorization of paper work necessary to collaborate services. My ratings based on the fact that Dr Naegle is a fine physician, though he does become preoccupied with making one's symptoms fit a diagnosis rather than take a broader look. His office staff leaves very much to be desired, and he is sometimes too rushed to make certain that everything he says is clearly understood before leaving. He also relies heavily on his laptop and may not remember what was said at your last appointment
I've been a patient of Dr. Naegle for about 20 years. When a cortisone shot was called for, this doc never missed the mark. Yes, of course, it hurt. I would grimace and whimper. He kept on task. I would not want him to stop mid-injection to ask "how ya doin?" we both knew it hurt! That was his expertise. Within a day my joint would not hurt. The pain and reduced range of motion BEFORE the shots was unbearable. He's my "go to doc" for joint pain. He's also a fine and very knowledgeable GP.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
