Precise, professional work with good "bedside manner". Highly recommended.
Very cool but did not really explain what he was doing and why.
Dr. Shurman and his staff are highly professional and answer all your questions.
Prompt, efficient, and thorough with excellent supporting assistants.
Dr. Shurman A-1 at what he does, a total professional.
My experience with Dr. Shurman was brief. His treatment of the Physicians’s Assistant who did an initial exam was totally unprofessional and he even cursed at her. She did nothing wrong. It was awkward and uncomfortable! There was also a nurse in the room who apologized for his behavior once he left the room. I will return to this practice, but ask to see a different doctor.
Had Mohs surgery today. How do I express this? My wife pointed out that the scalpel that was used to shave the hair on my arm preoperative was the same one used to perform the surgery. She's a Healthcare professional and said that was not a good practice. While the Doctor was performing the 1st pass, he called a colleague into my exam room and gave her a "dressing down" of sorts regarding another patients care, which I thought was both strange and unprofessional. (I felt bad for the colleague.) The wait time between pass #1 and #2 seemed excessive today for some reason. Also at the previous 2 surgical procedures I had at this office, I was offered antibiotics, but today I wasn't. Seemed odd. Today's visit just seemed off for some reason, but my wife and I were sort of turned off by it (her more than me). Overall the surgery went well and I don't need a follow-up visit, so I'll have some time to "digest" and evaluate today's office visit further. (I know my wife isn't happy.)
Aside from having to wait almost 20 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time, I'm very satisfied with the treatment and care I received...I had a large skin cancer removed from my lower abdomen, and aside from a slight pinch and burning sensation when the local pain killer was injected, it was a painless procedure. Dr. Shurman and his staff are very professional, and know what they're doing.
very good. Have been using this practice for 10+ years. Today I had a Mohs surgery, the procedure went well and the nurses were great. Made me feel very secure as they had great demeanor and provided all the information in easy to understand details.
He was rude, dismissive and condescending. Came into the room, looked me over, agreed with the PA’s diagnoses and left. The PA then did the procedure. Almost couldn’t exit the room due to his huge ego. Turns out I need surgery, but I will go elsewhere for that.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
