Awesome surgeon Polite and comforting Would recommend him to anyone

I was very hesitant about having back surgery and had been suffering for over 15 years. After consultation with Dr. Weaver he explained every facet of my MRI's and what had to be done I decided to go forward with the operation. It was the best decision I ever made. Its now been almost 4 months and I am in the best physical and mental state I have ever been in. Going on 78 and hope to reach 90. ...

Horrible doctor and staff!! The worst!! I had a lumbar fusion 2 months ago and have had severe pain In lower back and left thigh ever since. No compassion. Treated me like I was a drug addict just trying to get pain meds. Now finally he did an MRI &CT. Says I need another extensive surgery to fix it. I went a different doctor for a second opinion and was diagnosed Sacroiliac joint dysfunction and all I need is an injection in the joint. If I had stayed with Dr. Weaver I would had to go through another surgery and still be in pain. A lot of negative issues with my treatment

Dr. Weaver saved my wife's life in 2016 by succeeding at stopping a triple-bleed subarachnoid hemhorrage. In addition, he performed 10! succeeding operations to prevent vasospasm, with NO strokes. These results, from start to finish, have been nothing short of astonishing, if not miraculous. The fact that my wife was given a 95% return to normalcy following an initial prognosis of >10% of mere survival, is something we are both grateful for every day. And, for the record, he performed a spinal fusion on her neck some years ago FLAWLESSLY, ending years of excruciating pain.

Terrible, he did a fusion in my lumbar area which did not work and gave me meningitis. I spent 15 days in the hospital. And I have been looking for him and nobody seems to know where he is. I wish I could give him give negative stars.

Dr Weaver did a spinal fusion on me, I have never been right since. After years of complaining of pain I finally got Dr in Boston to help me. He did a CT scan on my lower back and found that the fussion never took, after years of an unstable back, my lower screws broke. I now have to have all the hardware that John Weaver put in, which is malpositioned, that's why the screws broke, and have it all redone. I would not let John Weaver operate on you if you are reading his reviews.

Do not let John Weaver operate on you! He did a spinal fusion on me 7 years ago, I have been a mess since. I live on pain meds, lost my job of 23 years because of the pain I'm constantly in. I also lost normal bowel and bladder function due to permanent nerve damage, coused by the surgery. I constantly battle urinary track infections because I have to self cathertize 4 times a day, also due to nerve damage. He doesn't know how this happened!! Think twice about letting him operate.

Horrible! And they keep him located here online as in Worcester MA at UMMC. He is no longer there for over a year now. Straighten that out!!!

I had a failed laminectomy. He took too much bone and didn't compensate for it by placing a screw or other hardware. It left my spine loose and moving inside which created a cyst that was pressing on my sciatic nerve. I had to have a much more intense surgery at Brigham and Womens to correct all the damage.
