List of James Frommer's Reviews
I am the caregiver for my neighbor who is currently living with a cancer diagnosis from Dr. Frommer. He was not empathetic through any of the events leading up to the diagnosis. Four months after extensive chemotherapy and other treatments, this Dr. sends her a letter to inform her that he will longer be her ‘pcp’ and she will need to find a new one within 30 days. This was due to her not calling to schedule an appointment with him. (Not that she missed an appointment.) Give me a break! How about a friendly reminder that unless an appointment isn’t scheduled within a timely manner, perhaps 6 months, then service may be terminated. This so-called doctor just gut punched a cancer patient when, at this point, the doctors in their lives currently are life support. How dare Dr. Frommer? This Dr. does not belong with the other outstanding Doctors and PA’s that work at Cove Medical. Roaring Spring is fortunate to have this group minus Frommer. Dr. Frommer, you are not a man of compassion, empathy, nor trust. You are only a medicine man and it takes more than that to be a great doctor.
Well, I have gone to Dr. Frommer for about 3 years now and up to this point he has been polite and seemed to hear what I said. However, this last visit not sure what set him off put he went over the deep end. Yelling and telling me he called a script in neither I or my husband were aware was being called in. We thought he gave my husband samples to try and would review when we went back. In any event, I told him it was lack of communication and that s not the first time this happened. In any event there was no record of either of our pharmacist receiving the script. Yet he ranted on and on and he ended up telling us perhaps we should look for another Dr. So we picked up our coats and left never to return. He has a problem not sure what it is but in the 3 yrs or so we have gone to him this was like a totally different person. Don't need the frustration.
Dr. Frommer is by far the best Dr. I've had in 30 years. He truly takes an interest in you and actually talk with you, face to face. I had a Dr before I found Dr Frommer, who'd talk to you or not talk, with his back to you the whole time!! Dr. Frommer has taken such great care of me and every ailment I've had and currently had. His entire staff are wonderful as well, especially the blonde girl at ...
I have never had a doctors before who has taken their time to make sure all of my questions were answered and who genuinely made me feel like I was being taken care off. He is a wonderful doctor!
Dr Frommer is not a physician that I could recommend to anyone. After the first visit, I immediately began to look for another family doctor. He seemed more interested in collecting fees than in my health.
If I could copy and paste all of the other reviews their adjectives and experiences are on point. Ignorant, no bed side manner, lack of compassion, doesn't listen - mister know it all. His way or no way. I can confirm he loses his temper and yells. I told him I went to a specialist for a particular issue and he accused me of not trusting him, how can he trust me how does he know I am not a druggie or thief (because he cannot trust me). And he wont remember you from appointment to appointment. Stay Away.
In 2020, at the height of the Global Pandemic, Dr. Frommer refused to have his staff wear masks or social distance in defiance of the State of Emergency, PA Health Dept. and CDC guidelines. When questioned, he dismissed the need for precautions as unnecessary. So, I followed DOH guidelines and reported him for flagrantly defying the Governor's legal order. He subsequently refused me treatment. I'm a Senior at serious risk of Covid-19, with multiple pre-existing co-morbidities, in a very rural area with limited healthcare. It's now April '21 and I finally found another doctor yesterday. It will be another 3 months until I can get an appointment, but fortunately, my cardiologist, pulmonologist, oncologist, and gastroenterologist were all willing to renew my prescriptions, so I probably won't die yet. No thanks to anti-mask science-denier CDC-resistor James Frommer. 9 months. Were it not for the critical shortage of medical providers in America, I would lobby to have his license revoked.
This doctor needs to learn good old fashioned Bed Side Manner He Shows no empathy and gives no hope to his patients
Let me put it this way. He’s awful. I am a healthy 19yr old. However, for months I have had trouble swallowing. I was having pain in my neck, and I just felt so off. Like I said, I’m 19, my body feeling like this was very abnormal for me. I made an appointment for these issues. Where he condescending spoke to me like I was being irrational and told he it was anxiety, I said no, it’s a very physical problem. He put me on an anxiety medicine, and I promptly got off it because of head fog. When I told him, he almost seemed irritated. He ordered a ultrasound of my neck finally and found out my lymph nodes were so big they were pressing on my esophagus. I went to the ER one night for the discomfort I was in he reamed me out for that. Finally when to a ENT, he was mad cause I made the appointment somewhere else without telling him and he accused me of not getting lab work done. I wish I could go on, but I finally got the issue fixed, not by him though.
Very pleased with my first visit with Dr. Frommer. Addressed all of my concerns and didn’t feel rushed at all. First time in years that I had a such a thorough visit with a PCP.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
