No. He did an emergency femur surgery July 2019. Still have pain over a year later, because according to another surgeon, the pin he put in was too long and is creating pain (8) and swelling in right hip. Became impertinent and said he couldn't do anything about it on 7-28-20. Really exasperating little man.

I have insurance and I have chronic pain most days I can hardly move I have seen Tissenbaum pa and he said there was a surgery to remove the knee cap or a full knee replacement I had done physical therapy I have knee braces I have done 1 more round of cortisone shots with them then the three week shots and no relief so this girl took me back and asked if the three step shots helped I said no I said is there anything else they can do for me and she offered more cortisone shots that don’t help at all and I said no I want to see someone else so she went and told Tissenbaum that and he came in with a chip on his shoulder he refused to help me won’t help me at all he says I’m not a candidate that I would have to lose weight and be 15 years older so I said if I was a skinny tooth pick and be 160 pounds like I use to be he said well you ain’t 160 pounds no more and you still need to be 15 years older I said my knees ain’t going to hold 15 years I didn’t check out after seeing him smiling

Fantastic! He was very kind. I had to have a surgery on short notice and he was great. He explained everything to me and made sure I understood the procedure and the lengthy recovery I was going to have. His office called to check on me and make sure I was feeling alright after surgery. He was incredibly thorough and included me in the treatment plan. I felt like they actually cared about me and what I was going through.

This guy is in it for the money. Blew off my knee pain with an arthritis diagnosis. His PA did the entire exam. He was in the examine room less than a minute. His PA gave me a cortisone shot. No relief. 15 minute visit charged my insurance almost $400.00

I like his no nonsense matter of fact business approach to my knee problem. I didn't waste his time and he didn't waste mine

I’ve had Dr Tissenbaum in Wheeling WV for a rotator cuff surgery, he is the best!! 5 years later I’m having some problem with my shoulder again to find out he has left Wheeling so I went on the internet to find him. Visited today and I was welcomed with open arms. I think he is the greatest! He took a long while with me and told me what he was going to do, and thanked me for coming to Pittsburgh to see him again. Thank you Dr Tissenbaum

I broke my right foot in May of 2016 and I saw Dr. Tissenbaum when he still practiced at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. After getting x-Rays I went into the exam room and waited. Dr. Tissenbaum stuck his head in the door and said that my right foot was broken but because I have severe Type 1 Diabetes that he will have me wear a boot and I was to see him again in 1 month. He was in and out in less than 2 minutes. I was wheelchaired down to Physical Therapy and was fitted with a walking boot. One month later in a similar many, he stuck his head in the door and said that I was healed and that I should avoid any running or jumping. 2 months later while visiting my Endocrinologist in Pittsburgh she asked to see my foot and then she had a Foot Specialist from West Penn Hospital look at my foot. They both suggested that I go over to West Penn and have a Podiatrist Surgeon look at my foot. I did and was told that my foot was still broken but that it was broken in multiple places. I told them that my foot felt fine but I was told that I was not feeling the pain because of Neuropathy and that I was on the verge of developing Chartose Foot which can happen with Diabetes and if not attended to then infection can occur resulting in gangrene and possible amputation. I had to go back to wearing the walking boot for 3 more months and also do nightly vibration stimulation so as to increase and speed up the healing process. I really do not know Dr. Tissenbaum but I would think that with Diabetes and the possibilities of foot damage that he would have monitored my care a bit more carefully.

This guy is a joke. He's arrogant, rude and incompetent. He doesn't know what he is doing and was verbally abusive to me. He told me to stop talking and asked where I got my medical degree. Refused to order and MRI. He is a total jerk who is full of himself!

This guy is a loser. He is rude disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. I took my elderly mother there and he basically told me to shut up and he dismissed her pain by saying she had only been in pain 5 days, what's that? He had the pa who was also rude do the exam and then he came in and acted like a total jerk. I do not recommend anyone seeing him. He refused to order an MRI or prescribe any meds. He is uncaring and very arrogant.

Dr. Tissenbaum was polite and casual while he was also professional in his manner. He was friendly and respectful. He asked me about my condition and listened intently. I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience.
