Visited Dr. Giacometti because of a sty that would not heal. He looked at it for 2 seconds and said it needs surgery. Upon further research, and a second opinion, there are multiple treatment options that do not include surgery, however this Doctor either did not know about them, or chose to ignore them. In my opinion, surgery was more profitable for him. My sty was treated successfully by another doctor. Without surgery.

I visited Dr. Giacometti for a sty that would not heal. He looked at it for 2 seconds and said it needed surgery. After a second opinion, I found numerous other treatments, which did not include surgery, that cured my sty. In my opinion, this doctor was after the fee associated with surgery, not with treating my ailment.

I had surgery about 3 years ago. I still have huge scars above my eyebrows due to the surgery. I have gone to 2 other plastic surgeons since the initial surgery by Dr. Giacometti and was told that the scars could not be repaired. I would not recommend this surgeon.

I went to this office for surgical removal of a stye. I left the office without any paperwork as to follow up care directions etc. I was told at the initial meeting that driving home alone would not be a problem, but my 40 minute drive home was difficult with one eye closed, weeping tears and blood. After a month and a half of healing time, my eyelid still shows the same bump as before. I asked for a refund as anyone would being dissatisfied, but was told no. Very unhappy with no change.
