List of Sanjay Chandragiri's Reviews
No,I wouldn't recommend Dr Chandragiri. First of all, the time I actually see the Dr is between 5 to 8 minutes. There's not a whole lot one can accomplish in that time frame. From the moment I enter his office he immediately sits behind his desk & types away when I'm just sitting down.He doesn't like to hear that a medicine he prescribed isn't working for you.He seems very disinterested in what I have to say & gives off the vibe that you're wasting his time the 5 to 8 minutes you're there. His tone is curt & condescending. Does not have a very good bedside manner. He takes what you say out of context to suit his own narrative. He doesn't like to be told that his interpretation is wrong & that's not what your s saying at all. I actually leave there feeling worse than when I came in.My overall experience of dealing with this Dr is a negative one. His staff however is very nice & easy to talk to.
He should have specialized in dermatology. Saw him recently and could not get a word in. Had his mind made up from data. Preached more than listened. 15 min with anyone and didn't listen, you know nothing about said patient. He assumed all and listened little. Not a real Dr.
Dr. Chandragiri is kind, professional, knowledgeable and a very good doctor. He listens when you speak with him and offers potential solutions. I find his approach to be very calming, patient and friendly - all excellent qualities in a medication management psychiatrist. I hope to maintain a productive doctor/patient relationship with him for as long as I require treatment.
Horrible experience He text the entire duration of my 4 minute session. Asked me if I plan to harm myself and then said he was doubling my antidepressant prescribed by my family dr. I told him I was there for talk therapy, he replied to pick up the medication and I was ushered out.
My rating is based on my objective for seeking the doctor's professional service and my subsequent subjective assessment of this service. I left my appointment feeling the frustration and perplexity one encounters when suddenly confronted with overt NPD. Physician, heal thyself.
All positive things to say about Dr. Chandragiri
Worst "doctor" I have ever had an appointment with. He turned on me as soon as I mentioned ADHD, tried to tell me you outgrow it (you don't, look it up), yelled at me, and then HUNG UP on me. The most unprofessional doctor I have ever experienced. Two months to get into see this terrible human being.
The office blew me off for my first appointment and tried to claim that they called me. They definitely did not and tried to blame the patient. Then my appointment before he decided to yell at me, was supposed to be telemedicine as my voicemail said (that was somehow my fault too) but they thought I was coming in and did not send me the link. I had to call them 5 minutes before my appointment. Seems like this office knows that Scranton doesn't have a lot of mental health services and they don't care if you like them.
He was my doctor a few years ago at scranton counseling and also in the psych hospital. He didn't spend that much time with me at the counseling center but you can tell he made decisions regarding my medication with caution and in my best interest because he read the therapist notes. He was available when I went for emergency appointments and took the time to adjust medications due to stressful events. In the hospital, I saw him every morning and without his expertise and compassion since I was very bad off, I would still be struggling tremendously.
I would not recommend this dr. Instead of calling me back he and his staff let’s me wait 3 business days and the. Magically the call gets disconnected. I have pnes and was searching for a psychiatrist because that is what my neurologist recommended. So I sat 5 days total more in pain (on top of the mistake geisinger made) when I could of been calling around for another doctor that would take me on as a patient. Over a month I’ve been looking for help. Thanks a lot for caring(sarcasm)!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
