Dr. Spears was excellent. He explain my blood test so I can understand them.

Dr Spears is a knowledgeable physician who will work hard to arrive at the proper diagnosis. He is willing to invest the time to battle insurance companies to obtain the best care for his patients. Dr Spears puts in the effort to stay up to date with the latest medical publications and provides state of the art care for his patients. I feel very comfortable recommending Dr Spears to anyone who is in need of an oncologist.

After colon cancer surgery Dr. Spears told us my husband was still considered to be in stage 4 cancer condition. My husband asked about chemo and he was told he was too old for the very harsh chemo for this cancer. It was not given to someone in their 80's. I said he was not a typical 86 year old as he still did all the things he did in his early 70's and came through the cancer surgery without missing a beat. Dr. Spears said he noticed my husband did not appear to look his age & he had been shocked to see that age on his chart at the first visit. He apparently listens to patients & their families. He discussed my husband with the 2 Philadelphia cancer specialists & they set up a reduced chemo treatment just for my husband. My husband is now in remission & will be removed from the cancer program if his Pet Scan is again clear in December. Dr. Spears helped to answer our prayers!

I was discouraged by my experience with the health care system in general because it seemed to take forever to get anything done. When I saw Dr. Spears he immediately took charge and set up the tests and treatments I needed. Progress has been rapid and I feel much better.

Ease of access and excellent Care

Dr. Spears reviewed my blood test results and immediately suspected a problem with the testing. He had his phlebotomist redo the test and found that my platelets were normal.

I've been pleased every time I've been to see Dr Spears. He takes the time to explain things and listens for concerns or even simple questions. I feel he is on the alert for my entire well-being!

Dr Spears is attentive, knowledgeable and patient. He helped me understand both my diagnosis and treatment plan in a caring and comprehensive manner. His entire team; all the nurses and physician’s assistants are outstanding as well.
