Upmc Northwest's Online Review Report Card

Had some awful devices butt 13years ago saved my life dealing with cancer, unfortunately I was in and out quite a bit for infections and other things. But over all they took descent care of me (and my cancer Dr who has past away Dr. Kirkland) he was an amazing cancer Dr .

Very ignorant staffing, called about my client, gave them information, and was met with nasty words being exchanged. She had told me when she was in the hospital some of the nurses were NASTY to her. This is despicable!!! Get people there who WANT to do their job. How awful.

I mean, they couldn't fix me but they didn't break me either. They lost a star for not letting me bleed out. 😅

Came in via ambulance with CHEST PAINS and they sent us to THE LOBBY.... WTH is wrong with this hospital???

Would not recommend going here whatsoever!! First off the labor and delivery unit was horrible except for Dr. Wright and a nurse Kaileigh other then that never helped out whenever we had questions and when they would check on our baby they would leave her clothes on half way. Oh and I almost had a emergency c-section because the lady giving me penicillin had no I idea what she was even doing!! Never having a baby here ever again!!!! Also a few weeks later my grandfather went to the Er for critical condition and he sat in the er unit for Atleast 8 days. Horrible staff!!! These people need to be taking better care of their patients or they’re going to be getting many more bad reviews!!

I was at the ER this morning. I usually would rate it a 1-2, but today I had an awesome nurse. Jessica was so pleasant. Also, I am a very hard stick for an IV and she got it in the first try. I was very shocked.

I won’t even give it a star. I was left sitting in the waiting room for quite a few hours. The waiting room was full. I had COVID-19. I was severely dehydrated. The Doctor/Nurse listened to my breathing and checked my oxygen level and sent me home. I asked if they could give me fluids and I was told “No, we don’t have a bed available “. I guess I have to give it a star to post this.

Waited in ER waiting room for over 8 hours and watched several people go ahead of us that had only been in ER for a few hours. I understand emergencies going in front of us, but not people with similar issues to why we were here. I kept asking and all they would say is you will be called back as soon as they can. Once called back we then sat in room for a long period of time before anyone even came to the room, yet over heard staff complaining about patients. Apparently they have time to complain while patients have been waiting over 8 hours with sharp abdominal pain. I understand that hospitals are very busy right now but this is the career that you picked and everyone’s time is precious and this along with patient care is not a priority at UPMC. Very sad. Will go to another hospital next time. I understand the low score now.

Tried to call, when she could not answer me, I asked to be Transferred to someone who could answer my question. She Rudely hung up on me! Rude person answering the phone at UPMC northwest!

Took little girl to ER waited two hours and no movement.... It's like no one works here, better off driving to clarion, Titusville, or Grove city hospital. Our time there we witness no patients going back to to be seen, talked to a lady who was there for 7 hours and she seen no movement of people going back as well to be seen. After speaking with several people they all stated the same thing, range for the they have been waiting 3-9 hours from each person we ran across. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. This hospital is a joke they need to get rid of their leadership and hire new or something, they provide no positive image to the community.
