I had a wonderful experience on Tuesday evening. 25th of July. I was admitted. Had Afib. Every one was so helpful and kind.
My 75 year old dad went in to the ER at 8:30PM and wasn't see by a doctor until 3AM. This place has serious issues with care and staffing. He was told to come back in 72 hours if the antibiotics didn't work. Really? So he can sit another 10 hours? The reason he was there was an emergency which if not treated was becoming life threatening. Use common sense. Don't just throw antibiotics at it, give proper medical care.
Very rude. Don't care about my chest pains.
great care. doctors, nurses and attendees
The ER did not refer her to an orthopedic and she needed one. Very difficult to get the prescription and we had to figure it out ourselves they did nothing, not gentle when putting a cast on. Hung up on us when on the phone.
I went in with GI issues. My doctor only inferred what was wrong with me after a CT scan and a single blood test — no other tests were administered during my stay. He misdiagnosed a bacterial infection for a chronic illness and greenlit an over the counter medication that would have put me at risk for a potentially fatal kidney disease. The hospital discharged me even though I was still experiencing discomfort and lower abdominal pain. I asked two different nurses for a patient report as I was leaving and was turned down both times. Please don't waste your time here. Go seek help elsewhere. I ended up driving to a teaching hospital after this and wasn't discharged until my body started recovering.
7 hr wait in ER. Ignorant rude Dr. acted as if it all was a bother to provide service. (4" x 1 1/2" needed 4 stiches) never cleaned the wound, rinsed hand under water stiched after 7 hr wait....if it is all a bother go do something u like doing. I do not reccomend Somerset or conemaugh 🏥 at all - patient care is totally compromised. Drive to Altoona upmc...those ppl are an example of excellence in health care....NO JOKE!
I go to AGH for my MS. Being that’s an hour away, when I have to get my blood work done, literally every 6 months, I go here. Almost EVERY single time I have to call and tell them to send the results because they never do. They give an excuse that it’s not ready yet however the results show in the upmc app the day I get them done. When I had my mri done a few months ago, 4 days later they still had not read it to even send it in. A patient should not have to call in and remind anyone to make sure they send results to the doctor that’s on the orders. EVERY SINGLE TIME! You’re dealing with an individual’s health. Get your S**t figured out already. Update: I called to have my blood work sent to agh which was also on the paperwork I gave when I was checked in. Was told I needed to give them a fax number to send it to as they no longer had my paperwork. So when another hospital gives the orders apparently they don’t care if they get it. Without my blood work I cannot get my infusion so I guess it’s a good thing I get it a couple weeks in advance when I get the orders in the mail.
Had a terrific experience in the same day surgery unit. Our kiddo had a procedure requiring anesthesia; that is always worrisome for any parent. We were greeted warmly by staff from the moment we entered. The nursing staff (Erin/Cara), the anesthesia staff and surgical team made him feel comfortable - and us! It was just a very good, successful, hospital visit worth writing about. Before bed my little boy said, "this was a really great day." Unusual when you spent the day in the hospital! (Also, my avocado toast from the Cafe was super yummy!)
I was assaulted.in 5 hours time i only seen tue police to file my statement by then it was 130 am and was told that it would be awhile til was seen by and dr. Assaulted and made to wait

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
