I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Bernstein and the entire staff of NY Skin and Laser. Getting any procedure, even a cosmetic one, can be nerve wracking and Dr. Bernstein puts patients at ease with his incredible skill, light touch, in-depth knowledge / analysis and fantastic and funny demeanor. You know the sign of a good doctor when they are honest, keep you in check and don’t place overselling over what is best for the patient. I always look forward to going to Dr. Bernstein and feel really good (w many compliments) after I see him. I have also seen him for non-cosmetic work and his skill in that area is also (not surprisingly) top notch. If you are searching for a doctor, stop your search now and book an appointment w him. I recommend him wholeheartedly and w/o reservation

I rarely write reviews but my experience with Dr. Bernstein at the New York Skin and Laser Center on 34th street was so amazing I had to write one here.Dr. Bernstein was sooooooooo nice and so knowledgeable I felt totally at ease and completely trusted his recommendations for my skin concerns.  I spoke to him about lasers, peels, acne, scars (face and body); he gave me his honest recommendations and I had the procedures right then. The office was kind, efficient and very friendly. I interacted with several staff, all very friendly. I am sooo glad I took a chance and trusted my research and booked an appointment with Dr. Bernstein. He is my go to dermatologist now, and I have seen MANY in NYC. He is kind, attentive and friendly. I cannot say enough good things. Thank you for such a great experience.

I had basal cell carcinoma on my cheek. As the face is a very delicate area to need surgery, I was quite nervous about getting Moh's Surgery. But Dr. Bernstein was absolutely excellent. The surgery was painless and the appearance of my cheek, after the recovery period, is normal. I recommend Dr. Bernstein. He is outstanding.

Dr. Bernstein is the most fantastic doctor! Every appointment we were greeted with a smile and professionalism. He was through and my daughter was happy even after her procedure! I took my 1 year old son to see Dr. Bernstein in February 2021 for a what I thought was stork bite on his forehead and face. His pediatrician, my OBGYN and a dermatologist, said it would fade and go away. I was not satisfied and I made the appointment with Dr. Bernstein. To my surprise Dr. Bernstein diagnosed this as a port wine stain and explained this would not go away without laser treatment. After 3 laser treatments it is gone!Not only is Dr. Bernstein extremely knowledgeable, but he is great with kids. He was patient and answered all my questions. This treatment likely saved my son from confidence issues and I no longer have to answer adults and kids who point at him and ask what happened to his head.I strongly recommend that parents see this doctor before settling for what a pediatrician or a friend says. Two days ago, I had Mohs Surgery to remove a Basal Cell cancer on the side of my nose. I am so glad to have chosen Dr. Bernstein as my surgeon. His knowledge, his manner and his skills are definitely outstanding. The procedure can be difficult but Dr. Bernstein and his nurse, Nicky, were a great team and made it quick and completely painless. I went home and never needed a tylenol for discomfort. The Laser and Skin Center is one of the finest facilities in New York City with a great staff and the most modern, up to date equipment. If you require Mohs Surgery or any type of Cosmetic procedure, make an appointment with Dr. Leon Bernstein. You will be completely satisfied.

I want to commend the entire staff of the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York and my doctor Dr. Bernstein. Unlike a the doctor my wife went to for her skin cancer where she waited for hours to see the doctor multi times; the wait time in minimal Dr. Bernstein is prompt and with a deadly efficient staff made a log procedure shorter and more tolerable. The atmosphere is very upbeat and by the way he did a really great job on my nose. I have already raved about the center to everyone who will listen.

The doctors are the best that you could findbut the secretaries are the worst you will ever see rude to so many people you cannot sit there for 20 minutes without a screaming match really a shame to lose such a great team of doctors for rude-and horrible secretary’s
