List of Brian A. Hyman's Reviews
Very engaging, answered all my questions. Readily admitted that he didn't have perfect knowledge and din't try to act like God (as so many doctors do).
Dr. Hyman takes the time to listen to my concerns and takes all aspects of my health care into account when talking with me and providing care.
Dr. Hyman listened to me, asked me questions, treated my symptoms, and ordered necessary tests to find a diagnosis. He was able to help me get my life back and gave me hope after more than four years of countless doctors visits and no answers. I couldn't be more thankful.
I'm sure there are other patients with more critical needs than me, but he makes you feel you are the only person he is interested in. For sure, neurology is a grand puzzle especially to the stroke patient who can't figure out where those rotten little clots come from. Leave the puzzle to Dr. Hyman.
He's the only neurologist in this area that has been able to answer my questions in a way that I understand and involves me in my own care. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a neurologist!
I can't review Dr. Hyman professionally, because I wasn't able to make a timely appointment for an acute problem. If you call, you get bumped to a call center. The call center can't make appointments with patients - you need to have your GP make the appointment for you, so expect some serious delays coupled with an extended game of phone tag as you try to match your calendar with Dr. Hyman's. The call center was able to tell me he's booked 3 months ahead though. I looked elsewhere.
I have been seeing Dr. Hyman for over a year now to treat my severe migraines. I can understand that we haven't found the right treatment for me yet, but he refuses to prescribe me the only medications that make the pain bearable. I had a lot of faith in him as a doctor but I'm losing it and thinking about finding a new doc. I am failing the third medication to prevent migraines he has tried me on. I just want to get back to my life and work. I think it is great that some doctors are cautious about certain meds, but to not give them when you patient is in severe pain is too far

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
