List of Dustin G. Case's Reviews
Practice is designed to accommodate patients that seek out a periodic endoscopy service but have no complications in other words a meat market. Before and after appts are with a PA. If you actually have Gastro Issues appts with the Doctor are challenging to get as he makes more $$ in the endoscopy lab. When you do get an appt with him he is like a bump on a log. He takes notes of basic info on a tablet and does not look at you and you end up questioning his engagement with you. If you have Gastro issues and want some actual engagement with a Dr then go elsewhere cause he will refer you elsewhere anyway since you take too much of his time. He can lecture you on the "continuity of care standards" and that he wants to see you every 3 months but that just means you talk to a PA that takes notes cause appts with him are hard to get (mostly booked). The one positive note is that the office takes most insurances and if you can't find a place that accepts your insurance then maybe go here. If you have Gastro issues and can go somewhere else then strongly consider it. I went to a practice where I ALWAYS see a Dr. and there are multiple Dr's to cover for each other.
Dr. Case is amazing. He followed me through college and when I returned to the area in 2019 he was happy to take me back in as a patient. He remembered everything about me and my situation, was read up on what happened in the years between when I saw him last. He is so kind and compassionate. I wouldn't want to see anyone else ever again. I appreciate he takes notes while we talk cause my world is complicated and I can't imagine trying to remember it later. 10/10 I recommend him to everyone. I feel for him as he is the only Doctor in the practice currently.
Accompanied my nephew to a scheduled appointment. As a medical professional in these time, I was aware that he would be the only one to enter the office. He was screened at the door by a "nurse" taking temperature and asking questions r/t "Covid Screening". He erroneously answered yes to 1 of the questions, which was "are you short of breath". He was then told to wait, and shortly afterwards, he was told that he would not be seen at the office and that he had to be seen in the ER. Simultaneously while he was trying to explain that he had SOB the day prior, and that he had been in the ER x 3, 2 other patients arrived to the office and were screened. 1 of the patient reported that she had SOB. The other patient reported that she had been exposed to someone who was COVID positive, YET... they were able to enter the office. When it was questioned why they were allowed to enter, and he was not, he was told by the person at the "front desk" to "MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS". I was taken aback by this response as I deemed this response to be inappropriately UNPROFESSIONAL. I am a medical professional who function as a Nurse leader in one of top hospitals in NYC, and it is doubtful that my employee would speak to a patient/ customer in that manner., especially without reprimand. This interaction by both the person at the front desk and the NP was not customer friendly, nor did it demonstrate good customer service. I understand that the other patients' medical history could not be communicated to him under the HIPPAA law but any educated competent medical professional could have communicated that he was not privy to the information using professional verbiage. The Nurse Practitioner then told him that she was NOT seeing him. Her tone was rude and unprofessional as well. As a result of this interaction, I question the professionalism of the office, which I think is also a reflection of the doctor, and had second thoughts about him being seen there, or even recommending the practice.
I have only been given top care at this practice. People complaining about the COVID-19 screening really need a reality check and stop watching fake news. This COVID-19 stuff cannot be taken lightly. If prejudice was real, I would be the first to be targeted and I certainly have never been more pleased with a gastroenterology group. They do show care.
Prejudice business practice masked by "covid screening". The woman at the front desk picks and chooses who may go to there appointment if you say yes to 1 of the 15 questions asked. When begging and pleading that id been in the E.R the whole week one of the nurse practitioners within GI was beyond rude and literally told me to get out were not helping you.
Entire practice is a meat market. It is designed to build a base of low maintenance patients that need endoscopy services where he makes his money. You rarely see the Dr. and are mostly offered appts with PA's. If you have complications you get lectured about requirements of "continuity of care" where you are seen every 3 months, but you rarely get an appt with the Dr., you see a PA that somehow bills with the Dr. When you point out all of this you get referred cause he only deals with low maintenance patients. He wants healthy patients that fill his endoscopy time and not much else cause that is what pays the bills On the positive side, this business model allows him to accept most insurances as in network. He is the only Gastro Dr. in the area that accepts many insurance. Guess this is modern medicine. If you have a choice in the matter go elsewhere and avoid the meat market. Otherwise he is there for you, but don't expect to actually have much of a Dr. Patient relationship.

Professional and informative
dr case was wonderful. explained everything and made me feel comfortable with having surgery. his nurses were awesome too!!
I was scheduled for a CT scan only to find out my insurance denied it the first time. They sent a second request in to the insurance and it was approved. The staff went out of there way to get this approved. Thank you

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
