List of James S. Martin's Reviews
i asked around. the word was he was "the best." i know, how can you say that in world with 7.76 billion people, right? at any rate, i have been to many doctors over 30 years for a bone chip in my foot. i decided to get one more look at it about 5 years ago and dr martin said essentially, " i do this all day long." he told me to leave it alone. he was prudent and honest. i even went to another podiatrist. he took x-rays in every unorthodox angle imaginable. he said the same. leave it. the consensus over the years was that you could not just "pluck" it out. you have too high of a risk just trying to get to it. and then two years ago i met a doctor who was one of the number one drs in ears. he was called in for a second opinion on a prominent person's wife (decades ago)he was right in his assessment and they went in and got a tumor that was presumed to be by the ear. and so, he helped me to understand that you dont want to open up the body unnecessarily even for a sebaceous cyst. i say all this because finding answers can be challenging to anyone. dr martin also would not do surgery on my friend's knees years ago. he is very prudent in that decision. i can't go into it, but trust me, if you want the answers, go to dr martin. i'm tempted to ask him who to go see for other health problems outside of his field. i'm certain he would point me in the right direction and if he didn't know, he would find out the answers.sincerely, a patient.
Dr. Martin is the best for knee replacement surgery in our area! Highly recommend him!
Dr. Martin is a top-notch surgeon. He calls the night before to reassure you, and is right there for your family as well. He really takes good care of you.
Dr. Martin may be renown for his surgical skills but that does not translate to a caring physician willing to listen, He spent less than 10 minutes at each appointment. After seeing another surgeon it was determined that Martin also misdiagnosed. I would not recommend him as he demonstrated little attention or concern.
Great Dr. Very pleasant personality. Replaced both my knees, different times, and was back to work in no time flat!!!! Recommend him often!
The office wait was a little long but the office staff were very nice. As far as Dr. Martin goes, I felt as though I was bothering him and he was more interested in his little hand held computer and didn't hardly make any eye contact. He seen my past medical history and heard why I was there and just quickly made a diagnosis based on that. As far as a physical exam goes, he may as well not have bothered. I went there because I had had been in occupational therapy for over two months and wasn't improving in some areas. My occupational therapist also disagreed with his diagnosis! I'm sorry but my occupational therapist knows! I would never recommend this guy to anyone EVER! He doesn't care!
Dr. Martin replaced my hip. I could not have had a better experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
