Mount Nittany Physician Group - Boalsburg - Pediatrics's Online Review Report Card

The nurse whose name is called Susan in this Boalsburg Pediatric Hospital is horrible! She is not only impatient to kids & parents, but also very unprofessional in nurse related works. In addition, she frequently uses discriminated words and actions to insult colored patients, which is absolutely intolerable in today's civilized society!

We had a mix up with our appointment, It was switched from a Monday morning appointment to a walk in appointment that day at 4:30. I was told I would have to wait to be seen, which was fine. When my son and I arrived, the front desk clerk Andrea was extremely rude and unproffesional. She said they dont have walk in appointments, and as I was explaining that I just spoke with nurse, she walked away in a huff while I was still talking. When she came back, she yelled from across the room to ask if I had any changes with my insurance. Litterally yelled. Then told us to go sit down, in the most rude way possible. Then the nurse who took us back, was short with my 6 year old. When taking his weight, I asked if his shoes needed to be taken off, she huffed and rolled her eyes that it really doesnt matter and told him to hurry up. Once we got to the room, she continued to be short whilst asking about my sons symtoms, while cutting me off when I tried to help answer the questions as my son was taken aback by how rude she was being. Dr. Burton came in and I did let her know. This is not the first time the front desk recceptionist has been rude, my husband has also commented how she was rude to him when he took our children to an appt months ago. Just a disheartning experience. Great doctors, Ive never had a issue with the nurses before, they are usually great. Just this experience was not pleasant at all.

Richelle was incredibly helpful for getting me some results after fighting with the main hospital for nearly a week just to get seen. I had a much much better experience here than at the Mount Nittany ER.

This is the second time we've had problems with this place. We had to reschedule my then newborns appointment. Keep in mind we RESCHEDULED it. 3 hours later we had cys showing up to our house for a rescheduled appointment. If this was such a problem why wouldn't the nurse had said it right then & there? We had to reschedule so we could have our brakes looked at we didn't want to drive over the mountain with iffy brakes. The nurse STILL made us drive over. When we switched my kids provider my husband called to inform everyone. He said please don't call cys again the woman who answered the phone was very unprofessional & was laughing about it. They knew my infant had a new pediatrician, so the day of his appointment at Mount Nittany I called to make sure they knew he had a new provider & so they wouldn't call cys. Unfortunately, they STILL had cys showing up at my house

I take my both kiddos there, never had a bad experience. I often don’t like the few minutes wait time, but the nurses are very nice, and Doc’s are very knowledgeable. Kiddos love this place except for shots!

Everyone is great besides Maggie Ellis. Be prepared to be looked down upon. She is nosey and asks questions that are not relevant to the care of the child. It's none of her business if I, as a parent, am vaccinated for Covid or if our family has any guns in the home. It's not gun safety 101 so I'm really unsure how this is relevant to the health of a child. Shouldn't be pushing your political view on anyone.

I've been going to this office for 11 years. It was good in the beginning with Dr. Klinke, but it's been pretty disappointing since she left. I have had to seek alternative opinions for any significant issues when doctors at this practice could not offer solutions. Most recently my daughter was traumatized by an extremely underperforming nurse. Getting shots from now on will be a major ordeal. 🙄

Dr. Huffard is amazing. He took the time to listen and to order the appropriate tests. He was very kind to me and my child. He then called me himself to discuss test results and the next plan of action. I highly recommend him. Great doctor!

We have enjoyed taking our kiddo to this practice. Shots are completed so quickly by the staff and the doctor is genuinely interested in our child's wellbeing. They even have a nursing space for post shots. We drive an hour to come here.

1 hour and 45 minute wait for an under 15 minute swab to rule out Influenza B! Youngest child was tested in the same office the afternoon before, Influenza B positive and 104.9 fever. Child was miserable waiting, staff did not care. We were discouraged from scheduling a morning appointment. We were instructed to "just show up" to the morning walk-in clinic. Would not recommend anyone utilize the walk in clinic. Check out- the desk attendant was beyond unprofessional. Eye rolling, spoke under breath, flailed hands and angrily glared at everyone checking out.
