List of Mount Nittany Physician Group Ob/Gyn's Reviews
Refused to test my hormones and pushed birth control which caused lasting severe issues. Also had an abnormal result that they never called me about. Couldn’t schedule follow up visits for the birth control so I sent messages on the portal and they offered no advice and also ignored my questions about my abnormal results.
I came with my friend to get an IUD which she was very nervous about given hearing how painful it is. However, Susan (very nice red head) was wonderful and calmed her down significantly! Dr. Nguyen was great during the procedure, however was not very good at comforting my friend and a bit discouraging. Overall, the procedure went well!
Long wait time to be seen
As a new mom, I switched to this practice due to moving and when I found about about my second pregnancy. I always read reviews and the only reason I’m leaving this one is to hopefully help someone else out. Basically, this place sucks. Their office is dirty. Every time we have been, we’ve waited an absurdly long amount of time. I’ve had legitimate concerns (migraines, cramping, kidney issues, etc.) that should have been taken seriously and would have been at my previous provider, but this practice blew them off and said it “was not pregnancy related,” and to contact my family doctor. I’ve had labs and ultrasounds that were supposed to be scheduled, but have not. Basically if you can find somewhere else, do. I’m going to be traveling significantly farther now so that I can have good healthcare for me and my baby.
So far I have had nothing but a positive experience here. I transferred my medical records from TN to PA halfway through my pregnancy, which was a stressful experience, but the staff was so helpful. All the doctors/nurses/staff have been so kind and personable. The office is very timely and organized as well. Hoping the labor & delivery side goes well! Following up with another 5 star review for the entire labor and delivery team. My birth went so smoothly and I truly am so thankful for all the doctors and nurses and their expert knowledge and kind hearts. If we are so blessed to continue to grow our family we look forward to being with this group again!
I used to like mount nittany obgyn. Now I hate it. I have explained over and over about trying to get an appointment with my geisinger group for endocrinology but they have no appointments until after my babies are born. Now they are saying I am not being compliant. Making me feel I am a bad mother because of something I can not control.
I was very disappointed when I had multiple unsuccessful epidural. I had two babies in Hawaii and never experienced this pain. After giving birth, .my back is so painful due to unsuccessful epidural. I am still suffering from postpartum depression which is pregnancy complication. Per the insurance company in Hawaii, as long as I suffer from pregnancy complication. I can collect the pregnancy disability insurance. The doctor refused to sign it which forced me to go back work early. I cannot focus on my job as before and fatigue and easy to get irritated and hate myself for not doing a good job, which really brings a lot of damage to my life.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this entire OB/GYN group. From my initial appointment through until my c-section. I would like to give a special thank you to Doctors Nguyen and Brunner who were remarkable during my delivery/c-section with my son. They were encouraging, caring, funny & down-to-earth (which I appreciated), and professional. I highly recommend the Mount Nittany Physician Group OB/GYN to any female for their care. The nursing staff during delivery was also amazing at the hospital too. Definitely deserving of all five stars.
The staff has always treated me and my babies very well. They are always attentive and helpful when I call with questions. I’ve had great pregnancy moments and some that have been downright terrifying. Through it all, they have been empathetic and have explained all stages, procedures and processes completely and in a way I can understand. They are not perfect, and some small issues have occurred. One example is that they lost a urine test of mine in the beginning of my current pregnancy with baby #3. Not a big deal though. The positive demeanor of the staff and their ability to remain calm and friendly in scary situations more than makes up for the occasional “hiccup” in the process. I wouldn’t go to any other OB group.
This afternoon, I met with a Mount Nittany OBGYN medical provider for an IUD removal. This is a painful and nerve-wracking procedure. Prior to the procedure, the provider took about 50 seconds to converse with me (if that). Without an adequate level of preexisting health literacy, I would have been severely confused about the invasive procedure and my medical care. To make matters worse, the provider neglected to give a heads up before a medical instrument was utilized. This is completely unprofessional and invasive. The provider took almost no time to communicate. After the procedure, he did not even say the name of my new prescription much less explain it. When I asked about refills, he said “this isn’t my first rodeo.” Horrible and frustrating experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
