Awesome Place, Great Staff, Very Nice. My teeth look awesome and I Love This Place
My braces journey started in August 2019 with my first visit to SCO and Dr Ray for a fact gathering appointment to investigate my options and the cost of getting braces as an adult. Madison, one of SCO's treatment coordinators, and Dr Ray were friendly and thorough in providing information and answering all our questions. Due to some other large expenses in life at that time we had to put this on the backshelf until November 2021 when we were finally able to move forward with a re-evaluation exam. We were able to schedule my braces to go on February 12, 2022 and surgery with Dr Engroff and Tri- County Oral Facial Surgeons on February 24, 2022. Between the November and February appointments, Madison answered all my silly questions as I hadn't really had anyone close to me recently go through braces so there were a lot of them. She answered each one with patience and kindness. February 12th came along and Tina, the Clinical Coordinator, and Dr Ray put on my braces and we were off to the races. I didn't start getting adjustments until mid March as we had to wait for my surgery and some healing from that before we could get started. But once we did, I was averaging coming in every two weeks and every one of SCO's clinical assistants from Keelie to Sammie to Madi to most recently and often Jordin have been an absolute delight to deal with. They have been compassionate and caring in everything they have done. From the front door and being greeted by Dreu to passing Brittany on the way out. Each member of this team cares about each other and their patients. They make you feel like one of the "family". Dr Ray had estimated I'd be in my braces for 14 months. Knowing each situation is unique, one never knows for sure how long you will be with these new friends. For me, this journey is coming to a close two months earlier than planned. My braces are scheduled to come off February 22nd. SCO has been my social outlet over the past year and I will miss these gals more than words can say. My husband Dave and I are very pleased with the results of this past year and would strongly recommend anyone thinking about getting braces to go meet with Madison and Dr Ray to find out your options.

I've been going to State College Orthodontics for a few months now. I am an adult who wanted to get Invisalign to fix my smile and I'm very happy that I chose to go State College Orthodontics. The initial consult was great. They took x-rays and photos of my mouth and walked me through the steps of what my options were. I chose Invisalign and it's been a relatively easy process so far. One of my attachments broke off and they were able to get me in to fix it within two days. The entire staff is so friendly and I don't feel nervous at all going there (coming from someone who hates going to the dentist). They are all there to support you and will work with your schedule. Dr. Ray is also great and answers any questions I have while I'm there. They are always quick to answer questions. I highly recommend going to State College Orthodontics. You will not be disappointed!
I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ray and her wonderful staff! They are extraordinarily caring, patient and welcoming. They do everything they can to make this experience fun for young people: allowing them to earn points toward gift cards from great places (like Amazon, Target and Nintendo); frequently running fun raffles to earn additional prizes; and including personalized welcome signs / photos, if you desire. The facility is impeccably clean and the space is both inviting and comfortable. And if you have a child with special needs/sensitivities, like I do, you cannot imagine more heartwarming care and understanding! Dr. Ray and her staff have gone above and beyond to ensure my child’s comfort throughout the entire process. We had a few rough patches, but got through them with amazing ease, due to their kindness, gentleness and patience. My child’s smile is beautiful!! Thank you, State College Orthodontics ❤️
Dr. Ray and her staff are so wonderful and caring. They always make you feel welcome. They have a wonderful, clean and inviting facility as well. Definitely recommend them for any orthodontic needs!!!

This is the worst experience I’ve had with any type of medical appointment scheduling. THEY have rescheduled my orthodontics evaluation *three* times. Each time has been their fault and has had nothing to do with me. My appointment has been delayed months and when we were finally supposed to meet on zoom this morning, we got a text 20 minutes before the appointment saying it was actually in person and that they had made an error in telling us it was virtual. This was the last straw. Do not was your time here. By the time they get you scheduled in your teeth will have shifted completely.
I highly recommend State College Orthodontics to EVERYONE!! They’re very efficient, friendly and accommodating. My 11 year old has major anxiety about the dentist, but loves visiting her friends here at the orthodontist! We have finished our first round of treatment and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome! Thank you for giving my daughter a boost of confidence!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
