Dr. Kao was very rude to me on my visit. He hurried into the room saying "Do you want surgery? I'm a surgeon." This was without speaking to me about my problem or examining me. I will not return there.

Had positional vertigo. First I spent time with Dr. Wakefield (audiologist - awesome) then a same day appointment with Dr. Kao. He seemed disappointed that I had such a mundane diagnosis as vertigo and not something sexier like Meniere's (sp?). He barely looked at me, told me to watch YouTube videos on how to do the Epley maneuver and I can go. I started asking some questions and he opened the door and started walking down the hallway. He was done with me. Probably less than 1 minute spent with me. I followed him down the hall asking if he could show me the maneuver, and he said to watch the videos or go to PT. He said we don't do that here anymore. I asked for a prescription for PT 1/2way down the hallway and he seemed surprised. He sighed and said ok. His staff is super nice and very helpful. I never give one star reviews, but this was crazy.

Would not recommend went in having throat problems and at first he said it was a tooth so i got the tooth pulled. Then still having problems went back he said it was a collapsed nasal septum had a very expensive surgery done to fix it. Still having problems they are actually worse now but after all the bills im now broke and worse off than when i started. They said they were going to fix the problem but yet 30000 dollars later the problem is 3x worse and i cant afford to see anyone else now.

Very professional and takes time to talk to you and discuss options. I’ve been dealing with sinus issues for over a year before I decided that I had enough and Dr. Kao has been nothing but great with me.

MY DAUGHTER HAD HER ADNOIDS AND TONSILS REMOVED IN DUBOIS,PA THE DR LEFT ONE OF HER TONSILS IN WHICH MADE HER ADNOIDS GROW BACK. AFTER BEING SICK FOR SEVERAL YEARS AS A SMALL CHILD AND THEN THE DR. IN DUBOIS PUT 5 SETS OF EAR TUBES IN MY DAUGHTERS EARS, PULLING ONE OUT IN THE OFFICE CHAIR, WHICH PUT A HOLE IN HER EAR DRUM. I TOOK HER TO DR. KAO....HE IS WONDERFUL! COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER DR. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE AND STAY OUT OF DUBOIS PA.

Do not get surgery from him. He didn’t know how to numb the area properly (even after I asked for another injection). It didn’t take care of the problem. I am dealing with more pain than I was before, and it’s 6 months later. Take this seriously.
