List of Laura E Hayes's Reviews
Saw Laura Hayes in 2022, she is a therapist who has trained in Somatic Experience, through Peter Levine's organization, which works interoceptively with the body (paying attention to your internal sensations). Part of the Somatic psychological treatment was also listening to an "SSP Protocol", which is designed to bring you calm/relaxation. The SSP protocol was developed by Dr. Steve Porges (stimulates the polyvagal nerve, which connects to the middle ear). I listened to the SSP protocol on my own and the hope was it would provide me calm so that I could talk about more difficult experiences when I met with Laura. Problem is it made me very unstable and suicidal during the second of three phases. During this period, I continued to see Laura and thought she might talk to a representative at UNTYE - company that distributes SSP Protocol. She didn't contact anyone at UNYTE. I quit therapy with Laura (March/April 2022) because I was not doing well and was very concerned for my well-being. I had almost gone to the ER 5-6 times, though I have never in 40 years had to do this. Laura was incapable of explaining what happened or if the SSP protocol is known to cause problems, or any path forward - other than to continue with her. I stopped using the SSP protocol upon onset of the suicidal thoughts and feelings. While I think Laura does a pretty good job of working somatically (body sensations/interoceptively), she was unaware of the effect that the SSP protocol could have on me OR what to do when the SSP protocol failed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
