Doctor is the best PCP I have ever had. He is beyond thorough!!

The Dr’s are great. The office staff is not. They treat you as if you are bothering them and act as though they want to be anywhere but there and that they are doing you a favor. This is all the time not just one time. They give you wrong information and don’t apologize when they have to correct it. They do not fill out you paperwork in a timely manner and give multiple different excuses as to why and you have to repeatedly call them to find out why. Very frustrating and unprofessional. I recommend the Dr’s but they need an entirely new staff.

Dr Chalfant was ok, but his staff leaves a lot to be desired! They are rude and confrontational! I was to have a "1st wellness visit, and they charged me the copay. It was only 5bucks, but I paid it because I do not need the office staff's ignorant attitude! I called to cancel My May 7, 2019 appt, and got their office machine. I left a message, and they never called me back to even reschedule. So I only gave a one star because the doctor seems excellent....but the staff gets zero stars!!!

I gave only 2 Stars, because only Dr Chalfant seems to be a good doctor. The upmc for life rep, was very nice also. BUT THE OFFICE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND CONFRONTATIONAL! THAT WAS MY FIRST AND ONLY VISIT. I SCHEDULED A "wellness visit" AND WAS CHARGED FOR A REGULAR VISIT. THE CO-PAY WAS ONLY 5 BUCKS, BUT, IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A FIRST TIME WELLNESS VISIT. I PAID THE 5 BUCKS, AND LEFT IT LIKE THAT, BECAUSE I WILL NOT DEAL WITH PEOPLE THAT WANT TO BE SO IGNORANT TOWARDS THEIR CUSTOMERS. I RECENTLY CALLED TO CANCEL A MAY 7TH 2019 APPT WITH DR CHALFANT, AND GOT THEIR VOICE MAIL....I LEFT A MESSAGE TO CANCEL, BUT AFTER A WEEK AND A HALF, THESE RUDE OFFICE WORKERS DIDNT HAVE THE BRAINS OR THE INITIATIVE TO CALL ME BACK TO RESCHEDULE!!!!!! EVEN THOUGH THIS DOCTOR HAS A HIGH RATING, HIS OFFICE STAFF BRINGS ALL THAT DOWN TO ZERO......I WILL EITHER FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR WITHIN THE IPMC NETWORK, OR I WILL JUST GO BACK TO THE VA FOR MY HEALTH CARE....WHICH MAKES MEDICARE USELESS IN MY OPINION!!!!!!

The doctor and staff always make you feel like family . They take the time to listen and give you information on everything you may need . A great experience !

I have many doctors but Dr. Chalfant is one in a million. After many years he has always been very considerate and caring to my needs, always there when I needed him. Staff is also excellent. I referred him to some family members and they are very pleased also, saying: "You cant find very many doctors anymore like Dr. Chalfant."

"EVERYONE (including drug reps) Please sign in and be seated, DO NOT STAND AT THE WINDOW OR TAP ON THE GLASS" , this is what their sign says on the glass at his office, so if you have any questions or just stopping in for a paper or to drop one off I guess you just have to sign in and take a seat. Never saw an office say this stuff. I mean I go to a lot of docs for other issues and I took a pic this sign and show it to other docs and people I know all the time. I get horrible comments about it. If fact a lot of offices I go to have no window to shut at all and don't seem bothered by the patients at all. I found another doctor awhile ago, Dr Chalfant is a nice guy and he is smart, but I'm not happy with that office.

Front desk girls seem like they don't know how to smile, bored with your issue and even bothered sometimes when you ask questions. Maybe they need more staff and they are just miserable because of their workload. They always have a hard time returning calls and never seem to be able to answer calls usually. 9 times out of 10, I get voicemail. I think they are overloaded and they aren't happy, and emit an attitude. Doc seems very nice, spacey, but indeed smart man, spends a lot of time with his patients, and seems pretty thorough. I called to reschedule my appt and nobody called me back. My friend doesn't get called back either, so it's not just me. They always say they didn't receive papers that others say they did, and so on. I know a lot of people that go there and the feel the same. I like the doc, but the front office staff leaves little to be desired.

Dr. Chalfant is excellent and very caring. He reminds me of a country doctor in his attitude towards his patients but is smart as a whip. There should be more like him where it isn't all dollars and cents.
