MIchael J Dumin's Online Review Report Card

A couple weeks ago I was rushed to DCMH’s ER. I had slipped in my kitchen and had a terrible fall. I slid into the dishwasher and hit my head extremely hard and put a gash in my upper lip. I also had excruciating pain in my left arm. Because of COVID-19 my husband was not permitted to accompany me to the hospital. At the ER, Dr. Dumin made me feel as comfortable as possible in that situation. He stitched my upper lip and ordered two tests to be done immediately. A cat scan on my head and an x-ray which determined I had a dislocated elbow. I found Dr. Dumin to be extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable, but above all, very kind. He explained to me in simple terms what needed to be done. Not having someone with me was scary; however, I felt confident in Dr. Dumin. The next week I went to an ortho doctor who said my arm looked very good. Dr.Dumin had done an excellent job. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate Dr. Dumin!

Because of COVID-19 my husband was not permitted to accompany me, so I had to go through everything alone. At the ER, Dr. Dumin asked what had happened. He quickly examined me and made me feel as comfortable as possible in that situation. He stitched my upper lip and ordered two tests to be done immediately. The first was a cat scan to make sure there was no internal bleeding in my head and the second was an x-ray of my left arm. The result of the x-ray was I had a dislocated elbow and it would need to be repaired. I found Dr. Dumin to be extremely thorough, professional, knowledgeable, but above all, very kind. He explained to me in simple terms what needed to be done. However, before he could do anything, I had to sign some paperwork. He took the time to tell me about each document that needed my signature. He reassured me that everything was going to be okay. Not having someone with me was scary; however, I felt confident in Dr. Dumin and knew I was getting the best care. The next week I went to an orthopedic doctor who said my arm looked very good. Dr.Dumin had done an excellent job. I would defy anyone to tell me where my stitches were in my upper lip. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate Dr. Dumin!

Where do I begin. This idiot should not have a job . What a horrible doctor. STAY AWAY!!!

I have never experienced such a horrible doctor in my life. We went to the emergency room when my husband was having severe abdominal pain- he was throwing up and going to the bathroom and complaining he has pain in his stomach so bad he was collapsing. The second we got into an ER bed I told the doctor he has had 2 kidney surgeries due to blockages and multiple rounds of kidney stones. The doctor completely ignored my concerns and just did blood work. He refused to scan him even as his pain got worse and worse. I finally had an Gastroenterologist call to say he must get a CT Scan (on a Sunday). Finally Dr. Dumin agreed and did the scan where he found MULTIPLE issues. He was beyond rude the whole experience and negligent. He treated us like children and completely talked down to us. I would avoid him at all costs.

No bedside manner whatsoever. Acts like you and your family are a bother. Rude to staff. Rushes in to talk to you and rushes out. He is in the wrong profession.

Likely the WORST provider I have ever met. No bedside manner, takes over an hour to mosey on into an ER room and make accusatory and baseless statements. Then disappears for another 2 hours, only to come back and say, "See ya later."
