I 1st saw Dr. Chipman in the fall of 2021. I had a gastric sleeve back in May 2015, at a facility that has since closed, I had been experiencing awful reflux & Gerd. Dr. Chipman sent me for many tests, changed my reflux medicine; when that didn't fix my issue she gave me an option to have revision surgery to a bypass. My bypass was done August 2022, my reflux is completely gone. Dr. Chipman treats her patients like family. I am so grateful for her gift to help people. She is an advocate to her patients. She is a hands on caring doctor.

Dr.Chipman did an amazing job from the first day we sat down Sep 2021 to go over everything to the day of the surgery Jan 6th 2022. Dr.Chipman has an amazing Team that helped me get through this procedure. I was giving everything I was going to need and follow if I wanted this to be a success. I took it serious and followed everything to the best of my ability. From the liquid diet before the surgery (By the way it is not easy but because I stuck with it Dr.Chipman Thanked me because it made the surgery go flawless). I love that Dr.Chipman answered ANY question I had concerning this procedure. My scars are barely visible, I had no pain after the surgery, just your normal discomfort of getting up and getting around. But I followed the instructions of WALKING around the house to help with the pain of gas due to the surgery and staying hydrated. Thank you Dr.Chipman and your Team for giving me a chance for a second chance of having a healthy lifestyle that I am so looking forward to.

Never have I ever had a doctor to care for me as much as Dr. Chipman has. She treated me like family instead of just a patient. She took her time with me answered any and every question I had in a way that I would understand instead of using big medical terminology. She has literally saved my life and gave me my life back and I can't thank her enough for everything she has done. There not many doctors like her and I am one of the lucky ones to have gotten her as my surgeon.

I first visited Dr. Chipman in April of 2019 and felt an immediate connection. Based on Dr. Chipman’s recommendation for Duodenal Switch surgery, my life has been changed in such a positive way forever. All of my ailments, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and fatty liver disease are all in the normal range now and equally as important mentally I’m happier than ever. Over the course of 1 year I’ve lost 155 lbs and I’m approaching my goal weight. Her skills as a surgeon are unparalleled, second only to her kind, compassionate and caring nature. She continues to guide me and has always taken the time to answer any and all questions I have had along the way. I’m blessed to have met Dr. Chipman, she’s changed my life and I will forever be grateful. I would highly recommend Dr. Chipman to anyone in need of Bariatric surgery.

Dr Chippman is a very compassionate & highly educated in bariatric procedures. I first meet her on 12/26/18 at the hospital for an emergency removal of my band which had “slipped “ a few days prior. After a year I made an appointment in February of 2020 just weeks before covid pandemic hit to consult with her my next procedure needs. She highly recommended the bariatric sleeve. Only 7/30/20 I had my surgery. Happiness again. She has been with me every step of the way. I am so grateful for her knowledge & due diligence in making the best possible decision for the rest of my life. What I love best is how she makes me feel when she enters the examine room. Her encouragement & support has made me a healthier woman in her 60’s! I see her next week for another follow up visit & can’t wait!!

Dr Chipman is very professional, nurturing and caring. She came to visit me in the hospital post surgery every day to make sure all was ok. I presented her with a difficult task of doing a revisional surgery on me to revise a past surgery and she came through with flying colors. I would highly recommend Dr Chipman to anyone looking for bariatric surgery. My experience was unsurpassable.

I started the process back in the summer of 2020. My surgery was in January 2021. I have nothing but good things to say about the NYBG as well as Dr.Chipman. Everything went smoothly and the support I’ve received has been excellent. I highly recommend Dr.Chipman!
