Great dr, takes the time to listen, does not hurry, very gentle. Very personable, just an all around great DR. He has your very best intentions.
I am so thankful that Dr.platt and his team work in my area. I had my first surgery in my life and I was very worried about it. But Dr.platt and his teams comforting and knowledge made me fill right at home. They also done an amazing job on my surgery I was thinking I was going to have big scars and unbearable pain. But I was wrong. It was just the opposite. I believe they are at the top of there game. I would recommend Dr.Platt in his his team to anyone having surgery done. Thank you guys so much. Darren
My experience with Dr. Platt was poor. He's a nice-enough guy, but did a very poor job with a quadriceps muscle repair. He should have used an allograft, but did not. Additionally, he only had his physician assistant see me post-op. There was no physical therapy for 6 weeks, which caused excessive scaring of the repaired tendon. All that of course led the repair re-rupture several months later. I definitely would not recommend Dr. Platt for this type of surgery. Consider getting surgery at one of the Seattle hospitals instead.
My choice to see Dr. Platt was based entirely on his availability. First, I was sent out to get x-rays. Upon return, he walked into the room and said "you have Prepatellar bursitis, but you images don't indicate arthritis”. He never examined my knee, and seemed mildly disinterested in my problem. Told him Ibuprofen & ice not working. He mentioned a few options, but never recommended any specific action. That was it. Less than 10 min. he was gone! I got nothing from the appt. Waist of money!
ACL knee surgery- honest answers about the surgery and did a remarkable job. Have had quick responses to my questions and the follow up appointments have been easy to make.
The most apathetic doctor I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. He loves pushing those steroids in place of a thorough exam, tests and diagnosis. He doesn't seem very happy with his job.
I Wish I had never been referred to see Dr. Platt. I had forearm, elbow fracture, my x-rays showed no bone Displacement, agreed by previous Doc & Dr.Platt. Platt proceeded to bend my arm completely displacing my bones requiring 2 surgery &11 pins. Please tell of all your friends to tell everyone "Do Not see Dr. PlATT" He hurt me terribly & my out come has been awful, I cant turn my palm up now, and will have to deal with this for rest of my life. His attitude was pompous, Worst Doctor ever !!
I've been seeing Dr. Platt for my shoulder because he did my husband's reconstructive surgery and it was very successful. When I told him I had a setback and explained the additional pain in my hips and knees, he gave me a prescription for five days of steroids, which resolved the pain. He did make it clear that he couldn't manage my condition which I didn't expect him to do though this has put me a lot closer to a diagnosis.
I saw Dr Platt in June for a proximal humerus fracture from a fall. I told him my clavicle, scapula and elbow were also extremely painful. He told me it was probably just referred pain. He didn't even examine them, just looked at the calendar and said he was going on vacation. He gave me no instuctions. Worst orthopedic I, or anyone in my family, have ever seen.
Dr.Platt did a great job putting my bicep back together dispite the fact that he found it was shreaded instead of torn, he also found a torn rotator cuff and fixed that while he was in there. Great Doctor with great results and bedside manner.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
