I went in with my wife so that she could get a papsmear. Upon reading the sign that said no one is allowed into the exam room except the patient, my wife wanted to confirm that I could go back with her. The sign referenced covid, but there is also a mask requirement posted and no one, either patients or staff, ever has a mask on. She was then told that I will not be allowed back so we left. Clearly, we're already upset, but shortly after leaving, my wife called to speak with the doctor to try to understand the reasoning for the policy. That's when she learned that the reception staff never made the request to the doctor at all. We had made it clear that we weren't going to pay until we could confirm that I could accompany her, and I believe this upset them. They lied to my wife's face. I believe they do this kind of thing alot because they are trying to get you to pay before you can raise any concerns about unsatisfactory service. It's equivalent to theft. We won't be going back. I'm truly saddened that people like this are practicing medicine or are employed in healthcare. I hope they become better people.
