Cheston Simmons's Online Review Report Card

I had a hip replacement from a highly rated Rothman surgeon back in February of 2020 right before the pandemic hit. Not only was I never able to walk without significant pain again but my leg length was increased by almost a half inch. After almost a year of limping badly and having every test in the book completed, I met with Dr Simmons and decided to go forward with a hip revision surgery. Dr. Simmons assured me that not only would I be able to walk again as well as play tennis, but that he could also make my legs the same length. The surgery took much longer than expected because they had to split my femur to remove the original device. In spite of this complication, I recovered quickly from the surgery and was fairly ambulatory within 6 weeks. I am now at 9 months out and am back on the tennis court playing at a reasonably high level with no pain from my new hip. Also, my legs are now exactly the same length. I can't thank Dr. Simmons enough. I finally have my life back and am so glad I chose him to do my revision. I expect to need a knee replaced in a few years and will absolutely be returning to Dr. Simmons. He is a very talented surgeon and a heck of a nice guy and I would highly recommend him.

My visit with Dr. Simmons was excellent as always. He addressed my concerns, took the necessary steps to investigate, then offered a viable diagnosis in a way that I could rationally understand.

Professional, informative, answered all my questions. Felt Dr. Simmons listened to my needs and developed a health care plan is that Canan’s change as my needs develop. Staff was pleasant, courteous and welcoming.

As expected, it was delightful! Greeted by a Physician Asst. continually smiling. Then smiling Dr.Simmons opened the door, as he always does, to briefly say he would be seeing me momentarily. Then another lovely girl took me down the hall for my xrays, following which I walked slowly back, with cane, when another doctor going by, looked at me and said "There'll be no running in the hall!" Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Simmons is great and fully explains my orthopedic problems and possible courses of action. Overall an excellent experience.

The staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. Dr Simmons has a calm easy manner. He explained my diagnosis, never talking down to me but gave a through description. I felt comfortable and would go to this practice again of needed.

Having heard from others who were very happy with “new knees” provided by Dr. Simmons, my husband got one done by Dr. Simmons a couple years ago and said he didn’t need any pain meds after, since he no longer had pain. It is now my turn, so having just set up a time for surgery, I expect to join the many other very satisfied patients of this master.
