List of Chop Primary Care West Chester's Reviews
One of our biggest disappointments in having to move to the Midwest was having to leave this practice. We had Dr. Rissmiller until he retired (he was awesome!) and then we had Dr. Simon, who transitioned our kids from Rissmiller without so much as a hiccup. He was friendly, warm, and listened to our concerns. We've seen several other doctors in the practice and have never once had a bad experience. The NPs and the nurses are all so sweet, too. The only negative experience we had was when a nurse attempted to dismiss the allergic reaction my son had to his vaccinations as "must've been something else that caused the reaction." However, all of the doctors at the practice have taken good care of him at vaccination time ever since. I recommend the practice to anyone and everyone looking for a solid place to have their kids cared for.
Love this office and staff! It used to be difficult to get a sick visit, but I must say recently (within the last 6 months) we haven’t had a problem at all. We’ve seen all the providers, but try our best to be consistent and schedule with Dr. Krishnan. She has been so wonderful to me and my family. My 3 children love her and always feel cared for. She does a great job of taking care of them, but also an amazing job at empowering me as a mother. I always leave the office feeling like she truly listened to our concerns and worked with us to find a solution, whether it was an issue with breast feeding, formula feeding, developmental concerns for my toddler, or during a normal “sick” visit. I don’t know what we would do without her!
Missed one appointment and will now be my last. now I have to wait 6 months for another one, I simply asked if my doctor could sign a vax paper for college, and they said I had to wait just for that! Unbelievable.
Dr Simon is the best
First time in 9 years of going to a dr office have I ever been told I was irresponsible by a dr. (Linda Schwartz) Ever since the merge this place has gone downhill!! I loved Chop North Hills and our fav dr left to Paoli (Dr. Bonanni) we are switching our doctor, because of how rude this woman (Schwartz) was to me and my daughter!!
Agree with most of the bad reviews here. Pretty much impossible to get a sick visit. Last to we tried, the nurse told us to go to urgent care. Additionally we tried to tell the nurse our son had an ear infection, only for her to say “I seriously doubt it, ear infections take weeks to develop”. So took him to urgent care, and they confirmed an ear infection and prescribed the antibiotics
I have not had a good experience. My child can never be seen when she is sick. For a doctor's office this is not a caring place. I hate that this is the only option for west Chester because they merged with kids first. Nurse simply told me to try again tomorrow. I called at 8 am on the dot. My daughter still was not given an appointment. Terrible service.
I don’t know what happened to Chop, but if you look at every single chop location nearby, they are all with terrible reviews! The online system is pointless when your child is sick, because it only let you schedule well visits or flu shots. Calling system is so lengthy and unnecessary and takes you through Philadelphia call center that is kinda ridiculous. It used to be you dial a number and there is an office personnel answered it. And it seems that now it’s nurses not doctors dictate when and how your child needs to be seen. West Chester location used to be so friendly and easy to schedule an appointment and talk to doctors, but now it’s like a corporate wall that you hit once you dial that phone number! I think the last nurse I talked to was in Illinois. For the past 2.5 years I have diagnosed my child myself with sinus infection and twice with the flu and have taken him to an urgent care to confirm because the office told me to wait 2-4 days prior to bringing him in. As doctors and medical staff, they should know better when the child is having 104 fever and complains to a burning headache behind his eyes! Instead of seeing our doctor, we are being seen by urgent care staff who run tests on flu and covid and prescribe antibiotics as needed. This is ridiculous that I have to rely on urgent cares instead of calling our pediatrician and being seen on the same day. Shame on Chop, especially when CHILDREN is in your name! We love the doctors but this corporate BS is ruining everything that CHOP built! And I just noticed that CHOP Urgent cares are not open every day… well, so much for that… Just read the reviews of parents and patients who are struggling to take their kids to YOUR practices, parents who need YOU when their kids are sick. Obviously there is something wrong when it’s not one or two parents complaint but dozens!!! Others are probably afraid not to create an issue with medical staff for their kids but I don’t care at this point because we have been just going to urgent cares anyways. The only time we actually see our pediatrician is once per year on well visit. Change it before every parent turns away from you!
I am kind of shocked at the reviews. I have never had a bad experience here. My children have always been adequately cared for. Even my three year old when it’s time for his shots he is not an easy child, they have multiple nurses helping to calm him and get the job done. All of the doctors I have seen are sweet and kind. I feel listened to and I trust their judgement. I have three boys that go here and the front desk always work with my schedule. Friendly and considerate, 5 stars all the way around. I love their new office it is HUGE. They keep it nice and clean. I have been with them through their COVID-19 Protocol and they are on top of it. I applaud you all ❤️
We saw Dr. Ohler at this office. This experience was the worst experience we have ever had with a Doctor. We were there for a fragile matter. The staff told me that they could help my daughter. Which was not true from the start. My daughter has extreme anxiety, she made several comments that were making my daughter feel as if she was a failure. I had to stop the doctor several times asking to stop forcing my uncomfortable 12 year to talk. That is part of my daughters issue, she becomes non-verbal. She was yawning the entire visit which is so unprofessional. We had to get up and walk out because the doctors bedside matter with my daughter crying. I appalled that this doctor even deals with children who have disabilities and that are suffering. Just awful!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
