List of Hurley Dermatology Pc's Reviews
Just finished my follow up with Dr. Sarah Ahmed. I really don’t like to leave reviews like this but I am just completely disappointed and embarrassed. My first appointment the nurse was rude (black straight hair, looked mid 40s) although she was the last thing from pleasant, Dr Ahmed was really sweet and gave me a treatment plan that I felt confident in. Today I come in for my follow up. Again, the nurse was rude. Unnecessarily rude even as I was being sweet and trying to answer her questions. She looked annoyed and then closed the computer and said “I’ll just have the Dr come in so she can see for her self” it felt super pushy and uncomfortable. Then Dr Ahmed comes in and takes a look at me. She suggests a biopsy and I begin to ask questions because if you’re planning to set an appointment to cut a piece of skin off I’d like to know what to expect. Especially since I’m 22 years old and this is a new experience for me. Unfortunately, it felt like she was annoyed with my questions. That she just wanted to set the biopsy up and go on her way so she didn’t have to answer my questions. At this point, I’m under the impression that the biopsy would have to be done at a separate appointment but as I tell her I’m open to it, she then tells me “well we can’t do it today anymore because we’ve been talking” this was only about 5 minutes after she suggested the biopsy and at no point did she tell me this procedure could have been done today. So this was frustrating, especially because she had no answers for me. As she’s giving me my treatment plan for this follow up appointment her recommendation keep switching as I ask her questions on what to do. I’m confused and am trying to get it straight. She ends up telling me she doesn’t know anything until the biopsy is done. I have 2 areas that are a concerns and she suggested only getting one biopsy even though she doesn’t believe the two concerning areas are related. So I ask her if she was me, which area would she get a biopsy on? Her answer was “well I would of done it today”. So I still am not sure which area she is planning to cut open. That was it. That was my entire appointment. I payed my copay, got in my car and started crying. This was extremely frustrating and was a sensitive topic that was handled terribly. This is my health in their hands and I got a terrible response today from both the nurse (who was rude both times) and Dr Ahmed. I came in hopeful of good medical care and at the very least a pleasant attitude from those who are examining me. Again, I don’t like to leave review but this feels necessary so people can look out but also so these medical professionals can understand how much the work they do (or don’t do) will effect someone’s life. Completely unacceptable and totally unnecessary. This could have been prevented by simply being at the very least, polite. I’m not expecting you to know the answers to everything but at least have the decency to handle your patients politely.
When I scheduled an appointment for my son I told them he had a secondary insurance, when I submitted the forms electronically prior to the appointment I included his keystone first secondary insurance, when we arrived at the appointment I told them I submitted both his insurance cards virtually. Never once did they question prior to the appointment what his secondary insurance was or even hint that they might not accept it. After the appointment was completed then they were very clear that they do not accept “state insurance”. I asked for a bill and the receptionist looked at me like I was crazy? They said a bill will be sent in the mail; I will believe it when I see it. I paid nearly $200 for the appointment and did not even receive a receipt. Dishonest and deceptive practices and we won’t be returning. The doctor was lovely!
I go to the Folsom office with my son and EVERYONE there is so friendly especially Tracey the medical assistant and of course Arie who took my sons condition and turned it around in just a few months. They were easy to get an appointment with, you don't wait long to get in and they take you back at your set appointment time. Highly recommend this office.
I started going to Dr. Hurley several years back because of several small broken capillaries on my nose and cheek. I’ve had a phobia of broken, facial capillaries my entire life, and explained that going in. I have a genetic disorder where broken capillaries occur more often. I discussed my concerns with Dr. Hurley and he assured that he would be able to fix my issue with laser treatment in his office. He said my disorder would not cause complications. The laser was only available in the West Chester office and was outdated and dusty and is clearly not used very often. After my first session, the broken capillaries did not go away… Dr. Hurley assured me that he could take care of them with additional treatments, free of cost until the issue was cleared and that it would not be a problem with my disorder. Over the course of TWO YEARS, and MANY sessions of facial laser searing and assuring me he was able to fix the problem, the capillaries on my nose had not only remained but had grown bigger and multiplied. I also have several noticeable (deep) scars on my nose because of the lasers searing me in the same spot over several years. It took him two years of saying I had “stubborn capillaries” to finally admit that he was not equipped to handle my situation and told me to see a colleague of his who in his words was more expensive but has better equipment and more experience with capillaries. I don’t trust dermatologists now and I feel betrayed by this practice. Dr. Hurley took my money and scarred me for life, without consequence. A decent physician/ human would at least offer to pay for the damage they caused to someone’s face. Now I have a scarred up nose with broken capillaries for the rest of my life and I PAYED FOR IT! Thanks Hurley Dermatology for making my biggest phobia/ insecurity a reality!
Grateful for the team at hurley. They are always accommodating. My provider, Laila is always willing to listen and I truly feel heard.
Doctor Hurley is great and his Staff is wonderful. I highly recommend.
Just a great dermatologist!
Horrible treatment of patients. Follow up procedures (which the initial procedure did not take originally) are then billed as new procedures again which in turn allows them to collect full payment from the insurance company and to collect your copay again as well. What a scam! Needless to say.... I'll never be back nor will I recommend anyone.
I went to the Folsom Office on Tuesday the 22nd and saw Ari. He was concerned about my swollen calf and called Dr. Hurley in to take a further look! The entire Team is truly Amazing! They made sure I was taken care of with several calls that day and Ari himself called me on Wednesday to check in on me! Now that great care!! 5 Stars from me! I will be heading back in November for a full body skin check!!💫👍
If your idea of an annual body scan for cancer is to stand naked in the middle of the room while they quickly eyeball your body, then this is the practice for you. Found myself a new Dermatology practice pronto. Wholly inadequate practice. Poorly run.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
