Penn Maternal Fetal Medicine West Chester's Online Review Report Card

I’ve been waiting over 2 weeks for my NIPT test blood results and every time I call in to ask why it’s taking so long they just say that it’s at the Lab but refuse to contact the lab to see why there’s such a a delay. I’ve called twice and the second time around they were rude which is disappointing, I’m just not sure why a blood test would take over 2 weeks to process.

Staff is always warm and professional. Doctors seem thorough.

I have had very negative experiences with a pregnant ultrasound technician at the Penn Maternal Fetal Medicine West Chester location but the worst was on Friday June 24, 2022. She was very rude and I can't imagine how she remains employed in her role. She does not appear to enjoy the work she is doing nor does she enjoys interacting with the public. I have had her on a few occasions and every time she is not friendly, barely speaks, her ultrasound takes a few minutes, are painful and she doesn't share any information about the health of my baby, simply throws the towel at my belly to wipe off the gel. On Friday June 24, 2022, she took it a step further and chastised me for being a few minutes late for my appointment. I ended up cancelling all my appointments with this office because I felt so disrespected by her. For a facility that specializes in high risk pregnancies, they need to do a better job of training their staff on how to be more professional and provide better customer service.

My husband and I have had some rough experiences so far with customer service in gynecologist offices but this place really turned it around! The staff is incredibly welcoming, caring, and helpful. The nurse who did our ultrasound answered all our questions kindly and clearly. She was very gentle with the ultrasound and took her time, which provided us with a great experience as new parents because we did not feel rushed at all and we could enjoy the process. It was a really great experience and we would like our future appointments to be here.

The technician i had seemed very uninterested in doing the ultrasound i received today . At the end of the ultrasound she quickly stated “babies face is fully covered “ and immediately got up and said the doctor will be in to discuss results . Let’s be honest what expecting mother wouldn’t love any sonogram pictures? I was a little confused on how everything happened so fast. I went into the hallway where i found the technician eating a donut and asked her “was there anyway i could get a picture today” and she stated that the face was covered very brief and walked away . Never tried to attempt to get any pictures after the initial appointment before saying she couldn’t get any . We did the basic measurements she pointed out what she saw and she put the towel over me to wipe myself off at the end and left . Not pleased with this visit at all overall from start to finish.

I have been to maternal fetal medicine of Chester County for all of my pregnancies. I am recently 36 weeks and being seen for stress test and fluid checks. I am not too pleased with the staff. Some are great and very welcoming. Others are not. Front desk can be a little on the not so friendly side. Front desk is the first impression of the office, so that is very important. I am not too please with the nurse doing the stress test in the back. The ultrasound gals all seem to be in training, but very pleasant. I just remember with my previous pregnancies about 4-8 years ago, the office was like home. Now it seems like just a job to them.

Staff is always super friendly and accommodating. I always feel welcomed whenever I come in for an appointment.
