List of Scott N. Schafrank's Reviews
My family and friends have been patients of Mainline Dermatology for years. The entire office staff has shown the utmost respect and kindness towards us. My wife and children have been under the care of Dr. Scott Shafrank. Our experience with him has been incredible. Dr Scott’s positive attitude and demeanor takes any stress out of the room. This morning my daughter said leaving the office “he is the best Doctor! He cares so much for me.” We would recommend anyone to their care!
I had painful blisters growing on my lower back which are clearly bacteria/virus infection. He insisted that they some allergic reaction or eczema and urged me to get a biopsy. And it turns out it's not what he said. These days, doctors rely so much on lab and biopsy that they lack basic diagnostic ability. I got charged for visit, biopsy (they call it a surgical pathology) and the lab stain. Pretty good way to make lots of money!

Great doctor and nurses. I went in for a spot on my arm and a whole body scan because my father passed from melanoma. They did a thorough job.
Have been going to Dr. Schafrank for over ten years. He is the best, very knowledgeable and a kind person. Can not say enough how appreciative I have through the years.
Dr. Scott Schafrank is in the right profession. He's smart and very patient. He's kind and compassionate. He really seems to care about medicine and his patients. Dr. Schafrank took his time listening to me and made me feel like a person. His expertise lent quick resolve to a chronic trouble I'm having, as well as a recent minor issue. He's concise with a comforting bedside manner and I find myself happier leaving his office than when I arrived.
Careful, thoughtful provider
I had a basal cell carcinoma removed. I told the doctor that I take Plavix, he indicated that that wasn't a problem. The surgery was quick, and then bandaged with a regular bandage, and the doctor and nurse just left without any directions given. They seemed in a rush to get to the next patient, and since I was "done", good bye! The wound started bleeding heavily later that night; I called but he did not respond. Put compresses on for the night. I went back the next day and another doctor cauterized the wound. He was OK, but I won't go back there.
Dr. Shafrank is a fantastic physician. My main issue is with the practice, it seems the way of medicine anymore is fit as many patients in as possible to be able to circle as many diagnosis as possible on the billing form. First think “I” have to do is present that insurance card! Then “i” am reminded of my copay! But let the the Dr. write a prescription that needs their pre approval!! I’ve been waiting for days now!! Their quick to put in stipulations so they get their money right away!
Every 6 months I go to see doctor Schafrank. And every 6 months he finds a skin growth. If it wasn’t for his expertise I would have skin cancer! Good bedside manner and years of experience that’s what you want from your dermatologist! Highly recommend this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
